TIPM Fuel Relay Bypass 2008 1500 5.7L Hemi

I have a 2008, 1500, 5.7L, 4wd, SLT. Engine wouldn’t start. Would try to catch, then just crank. I did not hear the pump priming the system when the key was turned on so I dropped the tank and replaced the pump.

Worked for a day (on a 200 mile trip), then the same issue again. I assume it’s the fuel relay in the TIPM and would like to test/bypass it before I relinquish my first born for a new one. But, I’m not finding anything video or diagram wise for this style box. The owner’s manual for the fuse layout is vague in it’s descriptions. Any help is appreciated, or a free match with tinder (may be more satisfying).

I have a copy of the 2008 DR FSM or Factory Service Manual you can use to wire up the relay and bypass the TIPM.

I appreciate it. I have had some random electrical issues that point to replacing the TIPM. I have a used one arriving tomorrow, same year, same P/N and with 240,000 less miles. Hopefully that will fix it. If not it’s back to the troubleshooting board.

Honestly these dont fail as often on the older rams hopefully the replacement tipm works for you when is the last time your fuel pump was replaced?

200 miles ago. Replaced it and it ran like a champ (till it didn’t). You can hear the new pump come on when you turn the key, and it seems like it wants to catch every few cranks. The old pump was bad for sure. You couldn’t hear the old pump coming on when you first turned the ignition key.

If you hear the pump when you turn the key your pump has power which means your TIPM works if you used a aftermarket fuel pump they fail often.

I’ll have 30 days to return the TIPM if it doesn't work. It was an aftermarket pump. I’ll drop the tank again if I have too. I have 269k miles on it but it has been a beast. Nothing but routine maintenance and one wheel bearing, so I can’t complain. Thanks again for the input.
