Hi all! Newbie here. I recently purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 2wd with a 5.7 engine. This is the first Dodge i have owned in a while and was wondering about tire pressures. They call for 40 psi. Tires are 265/70 17's and this is the first time i have seen pressure this high. I have run 35-36 in all my other trucks with the same size tires and was wondering if this was a Dodge trait or is common now on the newer trucks. Thanks. Any info would be appreciated.

I would suggest going with what it stated on your door jamb but it’s unlikely you’re on the original tires. I’d recommend you just stick with what the tire indicates unless you’re off roading or towing. 40 isn’t really that high for trucks these days.
