Yes, its older, but does the job, has low miles and is reliable?
Tell me why are we having this conversation?
What is it that you don't like about the truck?

Here was my thought process regarding my wife's 2008 Solara Convertible.
- It came with all the extras. Nice car, but it has 110k or so miles and is kind of old.
- But... No car payment.
- At 20,000 miles Toyota had to replace the transmission, since then only maintenance.
- She likes the car. But in the last 5 years maintenance has started costing us a bit. $1,500 for a new top. New seals and steering parts on front end. Shocks. Another grand....
- Plus the 12 year old top of the line navigation/radio kind of sucks today and front leather seats are worn.
- Trade in value is pretty good. Last I looked it was worth more than a couple of years ago. What's that about? Might be good time to trade.
- So... how much is a newer 4 seat convertible? Holy Crap!.... What was I thinking? I think we might find a new radio and get the seats repaired and drive it another 12 years and 110,000 miles.

My 2011 is the same. 58000 miles. I have rustproofed every year myself so no rust. Last Year I upgraded the suspension front to back and put a mild lift on it. New wheels and tires, Headers, Power stop Brakes and just put a new Alpine Stereo Head unit in. I also Just did a Blackstone Oil analysis and that could not have come back better.

I was thinking of maby getting a new one also but Now I have the Tough Looking Ram I always wanted and no payments VS Buying a new one, Having a Payment and then have to spend thousands more to get where I am now modding.

For me keeping it was an better decision

I just fought off the new truck bug earlier this year. Why trade in a low mileage truck that you own? I installed a 3" lift and 35" tires & wheels and absolutely love the truck now. No remorse so I recommend to keep your truck. Maintenance can be done to fix any current issues. New prices are way out there so why do it? With all the Covid crap I'm not even driving that much.

It's still worth quite a bit and I'm wondering if I should trade it while it's still valuable or just hang on to it until it gets too expensive to fix?

If it's purely a question of value, keep what you have. The new truck will lose value much faster then your current truck, so you'll see that "the market is up" difference in net worth disappear the instant you drive the new one off the lot. Plus more expensive insurance, more expensive registration/plate fees, paying sales tax again if that applies in your state, title fees, etc. You will lose money faster with the new one, period.

If you actually want a new truck and "value" is just what your inner voice is pitching you as the rational reason for the want, that's a different matter.
