Saw an ad for Ram on Facebook and it showed a top-down view in the nav panel. I have a 2019 Laramie, and I haven't seen this option. Does it exist in 2019, or is that just for later models?

I think that only shows up if you have the "Surround View" camera option and I think you can't have that option if you have the "tow package" on your truck. I remember a lot of people were mad when they got their trucks and found out that it gets deleted with that option.

You are correct. Supposedly in 2021, the 1500s will have tow mirrors with the surround view/360 degree camera option. But for 2019 and 2020 models, the tow package (which obviously has tow mirrors) do not have the cameras necessary for this feature to function.

My 2019 has the tow package and the surround camera system. Maybe 1500 didn’t offer the same combination but the PW did.

Yup, that is why I specified 1500s in my earlier post. The 2500s/3500s, including the Power Wagon which is a 2500, are a different ballgame.
