Tow hooks on sport

2016 ram sport. Anyone have tow hooks on there sport or know if you can put tow hooks on the sport?

They should bolt right up. I think you have to take a few bolts out then put the tow hook on then put the bolts back in. You just lose the plastic filler piece or whatever it is called that goes in the open part of the bumper though

You could possibly modify the insert to work around the hooks too.

If I remember right, mopar makes a filler panel with the tow hook cutouts for sports. It would be as simple as swapping the panel then

They don't. Officially they don't support tow hooks with the sport bumper. In fact, if you want to order the tow hooks on a new Limited, you're forced to get the chrome bumpers.

The hooks will be right up against the bottom of the opening. You can get some extra clearance by swapping the two and installing them on the wrong side. The closeout panel will need to be left off or trimmed to make room for the hooks.

My guess is they figure the sport bumper can't handle the off roading as well so they don't want to promote it.

I put them on my 2016 sport. Like others have said, you have to make cutouts on the plastic piece and the hooks do sit real close to touching the lower part of the bumper...but I haven't had any issues with them nor have I actually had to use them (yet). I just like the look of them and think they give the truck a more manly look lol. But yes, you most certainly can add them to your sport.

I have a 13 sport with bils set at 2.8 up front. Is it possible to install front tow hooks? Do a bit of beach driving and it's only a matter of time before I have to hook up the front end [emoji12]

I can but it would be a while - it's real simple. You'll see the bolts the line up with then there is a pre-drilled spot on the bottom of the frame where another bolt get inserted..real simple

Yep. You can put them on if you're stock height or lifted...doesn't matter in that sense.

If it's a body lift I don't think you can. The tow hook mounts to the frame. If you leave a little bit of the black plastic on the piece you cut (on the bottom edge) the tow hook will never touch paint and won't deform the lower thin part of the plastic bumper. I'll post pics if I find them...

I put tow hooks on my Express with the painted bumper , I think it's the same as the sport bumper ?
