Hey everyone I have a 2017 eco-diesel 4x4 tradesmen ram and I bought it so me and my wife can tow a travel trailer and I have no idea what all this weight GVWR stuff is what is a safe wait to tow for a travel trailer and for my truck. Also any towing tips out there with the numbers and weight would be much appreciated

just look at the tow guide here pdf and you need to know your gear ratio or assume lowest until you do... Now, it is a 1500, so it looks to be somewhere around 8,000 pounds for a trailer, a little lower if it is a quad cab. They should have attached an rfe to those eco diesels imo, the 8 speed not terribly a good towing transmission, but it is what it is. Look into temperature delete for the transmission, it will only benefit you.

so this is what I’m looking at the trailer is 4520 pounds but the cargo is 3080. So would I have to assume I’m hauling all that weight around or just worry about the dry weight since I’m not towing it with anything inside to affect the cargo weight

GCWR is not listed on the driver's door post, not even the HD trucks have that. The GAWRs are listed though.
The Eco-diesels all have the 3:55 rear differential
They do? How did mine and quite a few other male it out of the factory with 3.92 gearing? Both the Gen4 & Gen5 body trucks with the EcoDiesel engine have and are available with 3.92.
Yet again your posting bad information, there's this resource on the internet called "Google" you can use to look stuff like this up.

The initial weight of the trailer is 4250 lbs, everything you add also has to be considered especially if you have a significant other than likes to take everything "including the kitchen sink"
This trailer description you post should have a 7600 GVWR, which is the maximum weight it can weigh with everything in it, don't overload it. Get yourself a good weight distribution hitch and learn how to adjust it properly, not the dealer will not do this correctly as the set up changes based on how much you load into the trailer. It's best to use a CAT scale to adjust a WDH. Your EcoDiesel will tow that trailer just fine even fully loaded, be sure to use the Tow/Haul mode. When towing long grades keep the rpms around 3K

In 2016, i wanted the 3.21 differential
I was shown in the ordering page in the salesmens desk computer that only 3:55 differentials could be had

Jun 28, 2014
3.55 is the standard for the ecodiesel.

I see that in 2018 they may have changed to 3:55 or 3:92

I need to start checking out the newer Rams
But i don't need to study up on them until August - October 2022
That is about when i would have to place my order for it to show up in January 2023, when my extended warranty expires

3.21 was not available in the Gen4 body truck with the EcoDiesel.
3.92 gearing has been available option for all years of the Gen4 body trucks with the EcoDiesel. Mines a '15

Check your door sticker to be sure what your cargo capacity is. Like Crash68 mentioned, get a weight distributing hitch and read up on it, figure out the best setting for your load. Your truck will pull just fine, just make sure your tongue weight is ok and gross combined vehicle weight is less than your max load.
