oem can last 10-20 years, the average for aftermarket unofficially somewhere around 3-5 years.

who was getting OEM at 50 bucks?

My wife’s 2018 Toyota Sienna (just-reached 100K miles) only last month suffered the first loss of it’s OEM sensors….and I expected to have to pay $300+ (parts only) to replace them all. (That’s what Discount Tire charged for my ‘12 Ram when they need replacements)

But …to my amazement….WalMart quoted me $10 each to replace them with new. I made the appointment…. pulled in on-time….and left 45 minutes later with all-4, new, perfectly functioning TPMS system.

Even If they only last a few years I’ll be just fine with that.

(full disclosure: I’d just purchased all new tires at WM the week before.)

A few weeks ago the right wheel sensor went dead on my wife's 2019 rebel.
What sucks is Discount just put 4 new tires on the truck within the last 3-4 months.
Never mentioned the sensors.

My wife made an appointment with Discount to replace at least the bad one but after reading what they charge I'm going to Walmart.

Yep…it was $50 for each sensor…and $25 labor for each at DT.

$10 at WM total for each wheel.

(I had also priced Goodyear Tires at DT…and the quote was $1100…. while WM quoted $600 for the same tires….with the same RoadHazard/Balance warranty.
