i cant find any pictures of that plastic cover anywhere.. not sure how it would look
but def. thinking about replacing

It would look just fine. That cover is well designed and easily painted if you want to custom paint it to match your truck. we also have carpeted and velour covers available, just haven't got them on the site yet...
