Anyone have this issue before? I don't know to much about the Ram transmissions. Mines a 06 Tranny (auto) with 83K. Bumps (jolts the truck almost) going into OD pretty noticeably until it warms up, then it is hardly noticeable or doesn't do it at all when running at operating temp. I am going to do a fluid change to see if that helps, but I'm not really expecting it to.
Any thoughts?

MC

PS- tried search, didn't come up with anything, if anyone can send me a link that would be much appreciated as well.

Try this, get some tranny fluid off your dipstick and drip it on a piece of cardboard or paper. Watch it as it soaks into it.... let it sit for a bit. If there is just a red circle, its fine... but if there is an outer circle past the red circle, either black or clear... you could have somethin burnt up in the tranny or water in it. You can also try smelling the tranny fluid too and see if it smells burnt or if there are any metal shards or other things in the fluid on the dipstick.

doesnt sound serious. just do a filter/fluid swap. take it from there. make sure you replace both filters, sump and spin on. also make sure you properly seat the o-ring for the sump filter. and lastly, make sure you use the correct type and amount of fluid when refilling. these trannys are extremely picky with fluid. and too much fluid is as bad if not worse than not enough.
