blowngp, I agree, gm tranny's are pretty strong and they do have it figured out. get a more powerful engine, build a stronger tranny. standard 5.3 get 4l60e, 6.0 gets 4l65e, etc. dodge v6 gets 545rfe, 4.7 gets 545rfe, 5.7 third gen gets 545rfe, 5.7 4th gen gets 545rfe. does anyone else the problem here besides dodge. and what I meant driving a grandpa truck is that chevy trucks in general feel like a truck my grndpa would drive. just slow as balls, nice and easy throttle. not like my hemi when it throws my head back when just lightly accelerating from a stop in traffic.
