Transmission help!!!

Tranny is stuck in 4wd and wont shift out of first gear. I can switch between 4hi and 4low but does nothing when I flip into 2wd anyone had this problem before?? I did some pretty intense mudding today and didn't notice anything until I hit the road on my way home.

ooooooo buddy....I did the same thing in my 06...thought maybe it was the neutral safety switch for some reason... I had to get full rebuild GOOD LUCK!!! call some trans shops around you and see if they will look at it for you, sometimes they will do inspection for free, or go about 80-100 bucks in and have them pull pan in inspect throughly...

This is a real Microsoft approach, but have you tried just unhooking the battery for 15 mins or so to reset it?

Tranny stuck in first and t-case stuck in 4wd are two different things.

about an hour after I posted this I went out and took another look at it. I must have a magic flashlight or something, right after that I hopped into and it flipped right into 2wd and what do ya know? No problems! took it for a spin around the block and the highway and it shifted just fine... weird. anyways im still gonaa take it in to get checked out because something is obviously wrong.
