Thanks for any replies !
2015 1500 V6 with the 845RE 8 speed transmission about 65 k on the clock
Several times now from a stop, when I take off , (mild not lead foot ) Shifts first through 3rd then sometime RPM goes up to 4/4500 rpm's I let off gas and may take a second or to to shift up and RPM drops to normal ! :O No Codes showing !
It will be going to dealer soon for oil change ans see if the can reflash the computer to get the Vechile Theft Alarm (VTA) to work ! while there
So any ideas in case I get the usual BS it is normal lol Just trying to get a keg up on them
Thanks

Does it happen on a cold take off or only when warm?

It seems to be only the 3-4 shift?
Thanks for the reply.
It happens after I have been driving awhile, Truck up to temp etc !
Just seems to get stuck and when it hot 4k RPM I let off the gas ! Then fine !

Does it seem like it's going into neutral or downshifting instead of going into 4th?

Maybe try shifting manually with the +/- to see if you can replicate it that way.

Hopefully it's something not transmission related. Figures too since you're just out of 5yr/60K power-train warranty.

Yup out of 60 k 5 year warranty :O
It does not go into neutral, stays stuck in gear 4/4500 RPM ,Might go higher if I did not release the gas pedal :O I will try the + _ button if it does it again Great idea Thanks

Sorry for keeping on with the questions and no answers.. So it seems to hang in 3rd gear too long before it advances to 4th?

Seems unlikely if there's been no leaks and it's been ok for years, but you never know.

60k miles is a good time to replace the pan/filter and the fluid lost in the process anyway.

On my (older) cars and trucks, I would do a simple tranny service every 40K. Filter, fluid, etc. and look hard for shavings. Flush at 120K. Never "lost" a tranny. And yes, I would like to have a dipstick. My neighbor lady's BMW doesn't even have an oil dipstick, says the computer will tell you everything. Yikes! I can remember when we believed that computers never made mistakes, hah!
Many times with friends' cars, a simple filter and fluid change would bring everything right again, here's hoping. :driver: Keep on truckin'

I wonder if you are low on transmission fluid?

Sticks can read wrong too. My 2014 had a factory calibration error that meant it read a quart low from the factory. The stick and tube had to be replaced.

Especially if you got the car/truck used. You never know who messed with what or replaced a lost dipstick with the wrong one (like one of my sons), oops. Luckily, it was too long and he came over and said WTF? We got it right after some head-scratching and comparing with another car (thank you un-named parts house that sourced it for him).
