Good evening all.
I have a 2018 ram 1500 v8 it has 70k miles on it. Long story short went to home depot got material auto started the truck while loading it the truck died. I crank it and it won’t start. I get it towed back to the house and narrow it down to a fuel pump I just replaced it today and it still won’t get fuel up to the rails I have 3/4 tank of gas and when starter fluid is sprayed it starts but dies. Anyone know what other things it can be can it be a fpcm? Thanks

This may be the famous TIPM fuel relay failure I just tore mine apart re soldered in a new relay for $5 works great or you can buy a bypass board sticks in the fuse panel il link it later or others will chime in

I checked the fuses and all are fine I don’t see a relay for the fuel pump. I could be missing it. It’s annoying on how random this happened

Do some tests before jumping the gun tho see if you have power at the pump check wires ect also scan for codes.

I jumped the pump with my tester it works. I checked the voltage it shows then drops. When I plug the pump back in and cycle the ignition I don’t hear the pump running and no fuel to the rails. I did get a code for

U0109 Lost Communication With Fuel Pump Control Module.

P0463 Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit High

P0113 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High

Try this to test your pump/wiring if the pump works it will be the relay just make sure your fuse panel matches this one never worked on a 2018 should be the same but cant confirm.

Well today I played with the relays in the truck the asd and I got it to fire up but then I died after a min and very rough idle I have a fpcm coming tomorrow just to rule out that it’s that. After playing with the relays I started to hear the pump run then turn off without the truck started like it was priming the line so that is a good sign I guess
