The Superchips is nice in that it is very simple. Plug it in, select your tune, and you are good to go. Superchips also offers advanced trans tuning that is a great upgrade over stock.

Where the intune shines is that it comes preloaded with tunes for hundreds of vehicles, and it will give you the option for custom tuning down the road if you start to get deeper into the mods.

You cant go wrong with either unit.

I believe the trans control option on the Superchips starts on the 04 and ups not the 03 but I could be wrong.

I think that ^^^^ is correct.

I have two HEMI powered vehicles and I run a DSP Predator on both. The car runs a 91 octane tune with a CMR tune stacked on top of it. The truck runs a 91 octane tune with the standard tweaks made. I like the DSP products. They work and provide decent results.

The Diablo will be WAYYY more than you could ever use (plus there have been multiple bad things happen to 03 PCM's from Diablos) on that 2003. Hell, even the 3865 will be capable of more than you can actually do to the truck. Two advantages the SC will have over any Diablo for an 03 is speed limiter and rev limiter lifting. Keep in mind, lifting the rev limiter will only show itself if you manually hold each gear, otherwise in drive it will shift at the normal rpm. This may not be bad thing, as you have an 03 and shouldn't be revving to 6500 rpm alot anyway (valve springs). You will have no trans tuning or a whole lot of TM reduction. With an 03 you can actually disable the TM at the TCM. The SC will be better all around for your 03.

This is not the case with my sc vivid. If i put it in drive and give it WOT or slightly close to it, it will max my rpm's as far as i let it which is normally around 5000 to 5500. I dont usually rev it up that far bc it sounds like the engine is gonna explode when i get higher than that.

The 03's are different. Their computer is not the same, so they do not have all the options that your 07 has. I also had to manualy shift my 03 to make it rev higher than 5700 using Superchips.

Thank you for explaining that before I had to

Alrighty then lol. Wasnt aware of that. But thanks for the info now i know not to open my mouth on that exact subject. Lol

Maybe didn't see the 6 or so times I referenced either '2003' or '03'? There also tend to be tuning differences between trucks with hemis and trucks with 4.7's...

Thanks for the info guys. is there any software out there that I can install on my lap top for tuning. I have experience in dyno tuning. I'm planning down the road to put a cam in my hemi.

If you are planning to install a bigger cam, then you are basically forced to go with Diablo. Superchips does not offer any form of custom tuning, so the truck will not run correctly with a bigger cam. Only other option for custom tuning is SCT, but I havent heard much about SCT on the 03's.

SCT isn't compatible with 03 hemi (03 4.7 yes, but 5.7 no). The only options here are a piggy back controller or convert to 05 PCM setup.

Don't get butt hurt & take everything so personal.

What dose it take to put a pcm out of a 05 in my 03.

You'll need an 05 PCM and either a total install of an 05 harness, or you adapt and repin your existing 03 harness to hook up to the 05 PCM. It has been done, if done right everything works but you get CEL's for EGR & 1 set of O2 sensors (03's use only 2, 04+ use 4). These can be written out of a custom tune.

If you did an 05 PCM swap you would also not be limited on what cams you could install. Not being able to modify certain parts of the 03 PCM files limit lift and duration along with LSA for the cam.
