Uconnect 5.0 voice recognition

Just bought a 2014 ram 1500 and I don’t think the microphone in the rear view mirror is working. My iPhone7 connects fine and plays music but when I get a call, I can hear them but they can’t hear me. Also, if I try to change the radio station using my voice, the system acts like the microphone isn’t working. Anybody got any ideas or have had this issues

First step I would go to the link below just to make sure that your software was update to date. If that does not correct your concern, I would make an appointment with your local FCA dealer to have the concern diagnosed. I have the same year/radio. Mine works, for a given value of "works". It's ability to tell what you're saying sucks big hairy moose proboscis. It's really not worth the effort.

You can check the cable on the back of the mirror fairly easily. I've seen it disconnected or have bent pins when a windshield has been replaced or removed for service. If that's not it you could be looking at a defective part, defective wire, or software issue.

So, I checked the cable and updated the software and still doesn't work. I guess its a bad part.
