uconnect auto plays my spotify

I keep my samsung connected to the uconnect, and every time I power up the truck (2017 Bighorn) my previous Spotify playist begins to play, and the app is not even open. This is driving me crazy and I don't know how to prevent it. I reach over and mute the unit, but after a dozen or so seconds it starts again. I like to open my Directv app and listen to the news channels while I drive to work, and that will kick it out of Spotify, but if I recieve an incoming call on the hands free it starts to play Spotify again soon as the caller hangs up....now I have the music playing and the Directv app picks up again, so I have both! At this point I usually restart my phone to get the damn Spotify to drop out. Any help out there for my problem? Is it an issue with the Spotify app or the uconnect?

Android or I phone? There may be an auto play setting in the Spotify app on ur phone that automatically starts when it catches the Bluetooth.

I have the same problem but when I connect my phone to USB.

go on your spotify to settings and down to car view and turn off the "turn on automatically" and "always on"

Thanks for the advice. I turned off those settings in my app and I'll be expecting the desired results the next time I go for a drive.

I had a similar issue. It would play automatically whenever I started Android Auto. I had to clear the cache on both AA and Spotify. I think I also cleared my data on AA as well.
