It seems my main screen 8.4 on my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie will only come on when I push the Radio on button.U connect will not work unless the button is pushed.Truck is new and me to it.Just wondering if that is normal I did not think it was originally that way.All apps seem to work as long as I turn on the radio button.Any input would be greatly appreciated.

No, that is not normal, as the radio should at least come on during a remote start, ACC mode, or even opening the doors. I would take it in.

I want to rephrase my question.It appears I can only use my uconnect and touch screen if the hard on/off volume button on dash is on. Is that correct.If I push the phone icon on steering wheel it will not work unless the dash button is on. It will accept in coming calls if the button is not on though .Thanks for any input

Are you calling the "MUTE" button an on/off switch? If so, it isn't. The moment you have the key fob in position you can either start the vehicle or put the system into ACCESSORY mode. Nothing is going to work unless in ACC or RUN mode.

No I am talking about the on/0ff /volume knob for the radio.It seems that is the only power control for uconnect.unless that is on the steering wheel talk or voice commands do not work .My 2006 Ram those buttons worked with out the radio on or off.That was my question .I believe that is just the way the 2019 system appears to work.The power /volume button must be on for the uconnect to work.

I just bought a 2019 Ram Limited, picked it up Thursday May 23rd. 2019. TROUBLES ALREADY ! I'll attach a picture of the two front doors leather on the top of the doors. Salesman thinks it looks fine, I say looks like S--T! Please tell me if I am unreasonable. This morning my 12" screen has little blinking dots, nothing more, no navigation. No matter what I do nothing. Unlike my older Summit and cannot reboot? This is really a bad flaw. Another bad issue is the driver seat memory, It continues to crush me! It will not learn it will only fold the seat into an excruciating position if you are in it. What ever happened to dealer prep? I paid for it on my bill of sale. I'm already fed up! 70K . I need a case on the leather and something done to get this screen and seat issue fixed quickly. I'm already sorry I should have listened to what other buyers said and STAY AWAY. Yeah those stains on a new vehicle would drive me nuts too. A few days after I got my new truck home I noticed there was 3 or 4 light streaks in the top of the grill. I think they were from a coat or jumper zipper when the remote starter was put in (post buying. I had to leave to get a few things done). I was able to buff enough of it out I could live with it and its slightly possible I rubbed a zipper against it myself.

In your case clearly looks like the dealer didn't notice?/didnt deal with it. I would be yelling!

The On/Off/Volume button does indeed seem to be a power button on the ‘19 trucks, at least on my 12” display.

As far as the leather, I would want it fixed. Ram Cares on here may be able to help you.

I too am having trouble with my 12” screen showing the dots far too often, like any time I need to use the navigation. A dealer near me has ordered a new unit for my truck. I hope that fixes it.

My Navigation went crazy yesterday, black screen with blinking dots. Came back two hours later. My memory seats are set to crush the occupants for 1 & 2. Can't get it to change. Something very wrong. Makes me sick a car can be delivered without updating and doing the proper prep, I paid for this.

Thank you for offering your help. On Memorial Monday, I received and email from my salesman to go in Tuesday morning, I did and met the GM, a very sincere guy. He told me my door panels would be ordered immediately for replacement. He was perplexed by the misbehaving memory seat, never seen that before. A service tech took the car and returned it to me half hour later. The tech had re-flashed my seats and navigation system and everything has been working just fine since. I happy with the attentive service. I'm really loving this ride more than any other car I have owned. I appreciate you reaching out. Its a good feeling to know that you are out there to help members of this forum. Best Regards.
