22.5 helps the over loud voice prompts.but not the eq that much. thats what my truck has now and what the uaqs ship with new.as of a couple weeks ago all mopar parts had no eta on them.must be back ordered.of course fca will have a part on back order and it will be in stock at various parts departments.their system some how doesn't allow for dealer to dealer parts look up or something like ford or gm does.the dealer waited three weeks for a rear seat belt on my 15 when i bought it.i ordered it my self online and had it in three days.when they called to set a appointment i told them i fixed it myself three days after i took delivery of the truck.

Well, this is interesting. @RamCares has followed up on this issue for me. Apparently the software update giving me version 22.6 SHOULD HAVE been applied to my truck when I went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago. A case worker from Uconnect Customer Care has also followed up with me and told me this update applies to my truck and I should get to the dealer and have this software update installed. The case worker said that it is possible the dealer did not have access to it that day I went in there (It was the day after the TSB came out). I've called the dealer and am waiting for a call back. I'll keep everyone posted...

See if you can get the SW update on a USB if you go back

Do you have a 2018 USA truck with UAS 4C radio = v22.6 or UAQ 4C Nav = v21.9 (bad audio) for the update?

PN sticker on back of 2018 USA Radio...
... 68331631AH (UAQ)
or 68331635AH (UAS)

You will need to give them a blank 16gb thumbdrive and ask them to copy the update to it and leave for you once done. Recommend you put it in a Ziploc bag with the TSB 08-016-19 Rev C reference & your VIN/contact info so they hopefully get it back with the correct file.

The dealer cannot flash the update to my radio so they are ordering a new one. He swears the new one will come with 22.6 and we won’t have to do anything to it. We’ll see Friday. :(

Unfortunately they informed me my radio is UAQ and said that my truck sounds like all the other 18s on the lot so nothings wrong. I then fought with them to open a Star case... they did and the Star team told them that they were not going to fix UAQ that it is what it is.... so I’m trying to get ahold of a lemon law attorney to try to get compensation for them not fixing it so that maybe I can put an aftermarket setup in. Who knows how that’s going to go. :(. So pissed off at Ram and Uconnect for the handling of this issue I may just take the loss and walk away from Mopar.

It was my understanding that those of us with UAQ would get updated to 22.5 to fix the crappy audio. Is this not the case?

UAQ is the one with nav, correct? If this is true, please let me know what your attorney says.

I dropped in to the dealer today and asked about getting the software patch for my 2018 Big Horn with the muddy, overly bassy sounding stereo. I had a different service advisor today and he didn't bat an eyelash when I told him why I was there. He said the process takes about two hours and he couldn't fit me in today so I made an appointment for Friday afternoon.

I was prepared to get a copy of the software update files with a blank, formatted, labeled USB stick, but he said he couldn't let me have a copy of the files unless I had permission from Chrysler. He said it was their proprietary software and he couldn't just give it out. Oh well, I tried.

Hopefully I will have good news to report on Friday afternoon.

Well that's exactly what I did and ...
I need to check this when I get home but I supposedly got the UAS v22.6 file that was for my Laramie VIN.

I'm waiting for another UAS radio to arrive with v21.9 to try it out next week and will upload/share it when I get the chance.

BEWARE :
Service Writer told me there is another bulletin that came or related to it b/c some radios are not allowing the update to load. Don't know if that means the radio reset/was usable or bricked completely.

*************
If anyone has a valid 2018 USA vin with UAQ that indicates it's eligible for the TSB 08-016-19 Rev C update let me know as I may be able to get it (but need a workable VIN).
