I'm trying to install the 15.26.1 update on my '14 RA3, it is valid for my VIN. The unit won't recognize the SD card, it thinks there is no card to read even though my computer can read it. When I try and use a thumb drive via USB it tells me the file is invalid.

I have updated previously to 15.25.5 so I know it works...the only thing that has changed is I am running a custom tune now. Has anyone had this happen to them and what is the fix?
Where did you get the 15.25.5 firmware from. That doesn't sound right.

I might have that version wrong...the download came from the official UConnnect site. It was the first update after the hacking incident that had everyone panicking (for no reason).

15.26.1 was the "anti-hacking" update. There is nothing new for the 14's.

Can you describe for me exactly what you see when attempting to flash/update firmware (from start to finish)

Went out to the truck to confirm, it is 14.25.5. The weird thing is I DID apply the anti-hack update so somewhere along the line my unit got rolled back, maybe at the dealer? Anyway, that's not really the issue.

I turn the truck to run, wait for the HU to initialize, insert my SD card which only contains the iso and...nothing, HU continues doing what it was doing before. Selecting the SD card as a source results in the screen displaying "Insert SD Card", which is why I'm saying that it's not even being recognized. Reseating, reinitializing does nothing, same outcome.

You need to put it on a USB flash drive formatted in FAT32 with just the ISO file on it, nothing else.

I'm not sure that updating is supported over the SD reader.

Still doesn't explain why the SD reader thinks it has no media.

There is no logical media, only the ISO file not "media" files (MP3 music).

It might not be seeing it because of how its formatted.

Possibly, but I believe it may be saying it because there are no media files...I'm going to test shortly.

I had zero media files on the card when I did any updates on mine.

So when I do the same thing with USB, it constantly displays "connect device". The drive was formatted FAT32, but only contained Windows 10 install files. So my conclusion is no media files, no "media"...

I'm pretty sure the upgrade process can only be initiated via USB.

Curious how to pull this off?
Just tested the LockPick with IOS 9. Airplay is still there but will only stream to Apple TV so you would need to hook that up to the LockPick if you want mirror.

You can however still stream to the LockPick from IOS9 using a third party app. I used "TV Assist" free from the app store to test, but you could use any DLNA /UPNP app to send video to the LockPick. Here's a pick of it streaming...

Make sure you erase all files off the USB first then load the files. If there is anything else on the USB it will not pull over the files. At least as far as I know.

Thanks for the info, but will it play movies not just videos to the lock pick? I don't see a option to pull the movies over.

Yes, I just used the first video I came to. Quite honestly, video playback is much more stable using DLNA. When I could still mirror the phone video playback would sometimes skip. I don't see that with the DLNA streaming.

Well I rolled my tune back to OEM, tried again with a different USB drive and it recognized it and installed the update. Had I been thinking straight, I would have tried the different USB before rolling the tune back since now I don't know for sure which was causing the problem. Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Glad it worked out! Is your SD card reader working?
