Nice travel trailer!

Ive been impressed with my load lifter bags…something like 5-6 years now, been beat pretty good a few times each summer catching air in the dunes…which they are now the bumpstops, and get used HARD…havnt had a leak yet! Will keep an eye on that fitting on top…i have the same one.

I definitely dont envy the condition of your frame LOL

Hows the yoko’s holding up? They look pretty well worn down…how many miles?

Same setup as me. That frame needs some luvin though!
The rust belt here certainly leaves its mark! I’ve considered Krown, etc, but I hate working on it all covered in oils! I use Fluid Film here and there!

Never hit the bump stops on these, I got “catching air” out of my system back in the K5 Blazer days! ;-)

Doing the brakes was a “joy” fighting the rust!

Im pretty happy with them! I’d have to look at mileage, but probably 12,000-14,000? Im going with an aggressive AT next I think!

They are excellent off road, but I don’t get to truly use them often enough to justify the expense! These only cost me just under $800! Part of Discount Tire Direct’s guarantee of my old KM3s! (Tore a lug off one of them! Right to the nylon threads!)IMG_4028.jpeg

I just took the falken atw3’s off mine that i had on for 60k miles (still in decent condition yet) which were fantastic at’s and replaced them with the newish toyo rt trails. Been happy thus far. They are not 3 peak snow rated though, so am a smidge leery on how well they will do this coming winter.

I bought the Falkens for my daughter’s Jeep Patriot a couple years back! She loved them! Great winter tire for sure! I believe she may still be running them!

I’ve been looking at a few different RTs! I’ll be paying attention to your thoughts on the Toyos!

I run a dedicated studded snow tire so I’m not too concerned with the 3-peak rating!

Great looking tire!

SOON…

Kenda Klever RT

35 12.5 17

3 more on the way! The Yokohama X-MTs are getting low and loud!

Looking forward(hopefully) to more than 20,000miles out of them!

No issues with the Yokohamas, but I’ll need something new next summer! IMG_9050.jpegIMG_9052.jpeg

Yuppers, 3 ply sidewall! The do NOT have the 3peak snowflake rating!

BUT…only one specific size did not pass the test to get the rating!

My understanding is that there are multiple points the tires have to pass to get the rating! Only one size did not pass one specific point to get the rating! SO…the RT did not get it! Kenda has not disclosed what specific size did not pass it(at least I couldn’t find it?!?!)!

I’m hoping they do as well as all the reviews said they did!

I do still have at least one more winter on my studded Hakkapelliitas!

Took a moment to take a trip through the woods and mud behind my house!

The new Kenda RTs did well! No stucks! Sidewalls held up to the buried stones, shale, and stumps! Treads cleaned out amazingly well!

I gotta get some pics of the trails!

Loving the smooth, quiet ride too!

After 320 miles of driving at 45psi, I’ve gone to 50psi all around! It felt a little “squishy” in the curves at home! Much happier now…much more responsive!

I also have a bunch of time in the fields, woods, and mud! I’m VERY happy with the feel of stability and control on ALL surfaces!

BTW, a few Klever RT reviews I read/watched commented on how they pick up stones…boy do they! I wouldn’t call it problematic, but I live near a lot of gravel roads, and oiled and stoned roads! I’m assuming I’ll see some chipping on the bottom of my running boards!

Time to party!

Second tank over 12mpg!

No-e gas, 90 octane, $4.75gal…@2mpg gain!

IMG_9155.jpeg

Yuppers…every gas fill up, tire change out, oil change, service, etc is documented, from day one, mile 1!

So far…Kenda Klever RTs! Loving them! Great road manners! Very confident feeling on the road, even during a heavy downpour with lots of pooling on the road! No hydroplaning! Excellent off road, even in the mud!

They do love to pick up stones!

I’m loving these Klever RTs! I’m moving to a new property! Downsizing life!

The electric trench is 340’ of clay and shale! The tires have done EXCELLENT!!! No slippage even when Jack-knifing a trailer to turn around on the clay on a side slope!

Loved them so much I bought a second set and had them studded for winter! I’ll miss the Hakkapelliitas, but these will do so much better in the deeper snow I expect on the new property!IMG_9306.jpegIMG_9307.jpegIMG_9308.jpegIMG_9305.jpeg

Nice! What made you stick with the 12.5” wides instead of the 10.5” wides for the winter set?
