As the title states which should I go for? I can order the UD pulley from Matt but where do I go for this valve body, I am pretty sure I have sent an email or two and a PM on here and not had any luck or replies :(.

**EDIT** My truck has a 65rfe, I know every single difference between the 545rfe and 65rfe BUT do I NEED to build a 65rfe specifically? or does a 545rfe work too? I know the trans. tuning is linked to the truck and swaping trans. is hard and not worth it but is 65rfe -> 545rfe a swap considering they are just sisters?? Im so confused because trying to source anything to do with the 65rfe is just not going well.

Contact Matt about your valve body. He can refer you to "Jerry".

The 2011-up trucks use a different VB which most of the guys doing VB upgrades do not have these cores. You may end up having to send your stock VB in to be modified.

Between the VB and underdrive pulley, I gained more from the pulley according to my track times. I would probably start off with that and save the VB for last.

whats the quickest you can get one of these to Alberta without breaking the bank on shipping Matt?

I have to decide If I should wait until I am back in Montana or just pull the trigger now.

I can still get a pulley out for you today. Shipping is 5 days to your address which would put it there next Wednesday.

I have the 65RFE and send my valve body to jerry at Superstreet performance. Just put it back in last Saturday and the fist thing I noticed is I lost some low end. Have no idea why. It is way to early to give a solid review, need some better weather and some track time with solid numbers before I say it's good or bad. But I did lose some low end and my 0-60 was a little slower. Mid to high it digs hard and pulls like an animal, shifts very fast and hauls ass. So, right now I have mixed feelings about the mod. Most important thing I need to do is track test it and back up my review with a track slip. Know one wants to do a mod and lose anything, so right now I can't recommend it. I think with a high stall torque converter this VB would be amazing and unstoppable, hands down would rock ass. If you have a high stall Jerry's VB would be worth every penny. But as a stand alone product? Wait and see because I'm going to run it through some pain on and off the track.
As for the different VB between the 545RFE and 65RFE I didn't want to have any problems swapping one in from a 545 so I sent mine in to be worked. So my truck sat in the garage for a week.

I just seen your sig, you got a 3000 stall. So yes Jerry's VB will rock. Just as an FYI, Sharadon told me not to get a stall higher than 2800 if I did the VB work. Something about keeping the TCM happy. Don't know if that's true or not, hopefully someone with more knowledge with add to this discussion.

Just go an update from jerry, he said the tranny is in the learning curve with the worked VB and all should be normal after the computer re learns. I'll keep y'all posted.

Got 10 runs in tonight. My average 60 before the VB work was 2.19 and after tonight's runs after the VB work is 2.51. DA was 2766:puke:
Best run was [email protected] and DA corrected is [email protected] still slower than my other runs. Nothing on the truck changed. This is my first track test with the new VB and is not my final review but the numbers don't lie. Even with a DA corrected time better than before would have made me happy, but worse is not what you want to see after you spend $$ on a mod. Stay tuned review still in process.

Now I'm getting shuttering issues at very low throttle, around 5-10% throttle at various speeds (mostly hwy 60-80MPH) it shutters and feels like the tranny is falling apart. I'm trying to stay optimistic but not happy at all.

1st off... A valve body wont cause you to lose low end hp/tq. It only changes the shift pressures for firmer/faster shifts. Your small time differences and loss of low end is probably attributed to warmer weather higher DA different fuel etc.

DA defiantly had an affect. But there is one thing that everyone can agree on, I know my truck better than anyone else and everyone knows their truck better than anyone on the forum. And the bottom line is my truck is slower, tested at the track and with the t1000 my average loss is .25. How? Why? I have no idea. I was told the tranny is in a learning curve and to give it time, I'm trying to stay optimistic but I'm honestly bummed.
Looking at the glass half full I will say the shifting characteristics changed and it's stronger at the big end of the track. Before the VB I would have to shift from 2P to 4th and when I did I got a huge RPM drop and it would fall on its face. After the VB work I can cross the Finnish line in 2P at about 6300 RPM's still pulling hard. Again, don't know why but it's something I can work with. Getting a high stall to compliment the VB work is what I'm focused on right now.

After another weekend of running 14.8's and 60's at 2.5-2.6 I decided to go back to a stock VB. Went the the dealership to order one and there $435 + tax (not to bad) but there are 414 on back order:suicide::suicide::suicide:
So I'm stuck with it for awhile. Bottom line is the stock VB on the 4th gens are engineered very well and I wouldn't mess with it.
