Upgrading Audio In Canada?

I have a 2016 Sport CC with the alpine system. I've seen the threads on people upgrading the dash speakers for better highs and would like to do the same, as well as the sub. I fouND the Pioneer sub and the JBL 3.5's. But the links people post for the harness adapters only ship to the US.

Anyone know where I can find them in Canada?

BTW you only mentionned dash and sub. Why not also the rear like some others did?

I tried searching for the jbl speakers on .ca as well as the harness but nothing came up.

For now I just want the dash speakers for better highs (the system isnt loud enough on the highway with the windows down) and the sub leaves something to be desired for bass.

I installed the Kicker KS series 3.5's from Crutchfield and was very happy with the improved highs.

Yes I ordered the front & rear speakers from crutchfield.ca (free harness adapter) and an additional harness adapter for the sub that I ordered on amazon.ca

Same here. I ordered Kicker for dash and the rears from Crutchfield. Harness was included free. The Amp I had to do some research on what one I needed and ordered from a local shop.
I live in Toronto so no problem shipping.

Joker...Kicker doesnt make a 2 ohm speaker so you may have amp issues seeing your speakers are 2 ohm and kickers are 4..

Those 3.5's are over twice the price of the kickers on crutchfield in Canada. Are they really that much better?

Also, all these speakers are 4 ohm, but I head everyone saying the stock Alpines are 2 ohm. Will this cause any issues?

Don't know if much better or just better or same. Don't have any comparison with the Kicker.

Yes all 4 ohms. No problems. Sounds really much better than the stock Alpine system.

I was just talking to crutchfield.ca and they dont stock the infinity 3.5" ref 3002cfx dash speakers...The usa has them but cant ship to canada..Weird or what..It was also recommended to use the metra 71-039 harness but again usa CF doesnt ship to canada...

Upgrade of the Alpine is finished. 3xJL audio in the dash. Kicker 6x9 KS rear doors. Kicker CS 6.5 front door. Kicker KS roof rear. Pioneer Sub. All from Crutschfield CDN [emoji41] but CDN prices [emoji26][emoji26]

Really a different setting than the factory Alpine! [emoji106] upgrade of the roof rear should also IMO be done. Great improvement.

The least improvement is the front door (as they are just for the middle).

Pioneer subwoofer has still to "develop" in the next weeks I think as it is not too present yet [emoji12]

here my setup:

Dash:
4 Ohms
3 x JL Audio C2-350x (Metra 71-039C Speaker Wiring Adapters)

Rear doors:
4 Ohms
2 x Kicker 41KSC694 (6x9) (Metra 72-6514 Speaker Wiring Harness)

Front doors:
4 Ohms
2 x Kicker 40CS654 (6.5; 6x9 would also fit!) (Metra 72-6514 Speaker Wiring Harness)

Rear roof:
4 Ohms
2 x Kicker KST25 (Metra 71-039C Speaker Wiring Adapters)
2 x Universal Back Strap

Subwoofer:
1 x Pioneer TSSW2002D2 Slim 8-Inch Sub 600W Max/150W RMS
(Metra 72-6514 Speaker Wiring Harness)
2 Ohms


As the speakers are 4 Ohms, I have to increase the volume to get the same volume output. Not really a problem for me as I don't use the maximum volume anyway.


Roof is very easy. Pull up the plastic cover. Unscrew the 2 screws. Mount the Universal Back Strap on the replacement tweeter to fit the factory holes. Screw the 2 screws and reinstall the plastic cover. You have to use a universal Back Strap as the factory tweeter of the roof are a Mopar specific size so that you have to buy a 1" or 3/4" tweeter.

The whole setup was not cheap but worth it if you like to have a nice sound as the Alpine is really not very top. Installation process if you have the Metra etc.. is very easy. It just takes time if you want to do it very properly. Just the left screw of the middle speaker is not very easy to unscrew/ screw.

Yes if you want to use the max volume output you should go for the 2 ohms

just surfin crutchfield canada for the $$ on a SRAMCQ09..I think i took a hear attack..$1329 before taxes....Same in usa is $700..Even with exchange rate its not that much of a diff...Man are we gettin ripped off..
