Upper ball joint bore

Pressed my upper and lower balljoints out today on driver and passenger side. This is what I found on both sides with the upper ball joint. Cause to be concerned? It looks almost as if someone did it intentionally but I can't be sure. First time changing ball joints myself.

Man, It looks like a sleeve insert, that being a tapered fit it doesn't look good you may have to replace the whole Assy.

I'm really hoping that's not the case. The old ones were a bear to get out, definitely in there tight. I'm definitely not in the market for replacing a power wagon front axle lol. I'm still waiting on new ball joints but when I get them if that upper goes in tight I might just send it.

I don't want to say this use some loc tite primer on the stud and the female taper and put Loc tite permanent thread locker on the ball joint stud and the female taper and if it torque down leave it alone, let it cure over night, or you could use JB Weld good stuff.
