Just pick up one today. Hopefully be here by the weekend. My question is did it make a noticeable difference. I have a spectre cai on now so hopefully I will see a difference. Thanx for any input

Most certainly, almost makes you feel foolish for going with the cheaper tube intake to begin with. It did in my case.

I'm kicking myself for buying it. Guess I will be selling the spectre on here

you will feel it pull harder after the 4k RPM area. when mine was stock it would struggle to get to 4k RPM and then pull well after that. Felt better with the intake and 87mm TB.

Now with the HemiFever tune it pulls straight through the entire RPM band.

I agree with the 4k rpm range, other then that I don't notice a difference or hear it. Didn't pick up anything at the track for me either.

Previous owner painted green but as soon as my paint guy opens his new shop it's getting painted. Put in the catch can also.

Here we go again...

We have had numerous customers switch from cheap and ineffective intakes to the Vararam with great results. I even have a customer that is on his way here right now to replace his K&N with a Vararam. A couple weeks ago, he told me almost the same thing you just posted. Him and his neighbor both have almost identical trucks, and both had the K&N. They would always run side by side when they went out to play. The neighbor switched his K&N out for Vararam, and now beats him every time. That is why he is now on his way as I type this to come pick up his Vararam...He's tired of getting beat.

Did you not see the Dyno we did a month ago where the Vararam made 16 rear wheel hp over the Legmaker intake? The LMI kit is actually better than the Spectre kit because of the material used, yet Vararam was still a solid 16hp higher. I don't know how many track and dyno sheets people have to post before it starts getting through that it is not just hype and there is plenty of documented results to back up the claims.

If you have first hand results showing that a cheap Spectre kit will perform as well as a kit that actually forces air into the motor, then please post them up. Otherwise, comments like yours are simply "heresay" as you said.

Here are the Vararam numbers. I also have a buddy who was recently at a Vararam dyno when they were testing it on a 14 Ram. 16rwhp on the dyno. Not many intakes can say that!

If I had the ability to dyno before and after every mod it would be great. I don't know about u but it gets pretty expensive. Once I'm done with all my mods Thani will dyno for final rwhp numbers.

So your proof in some street racing where there are so many variables I don't even have time to type them out?

Yeah, I will agree you gain some HP with any CAI. I would hope some with that big ass Vararam filter and less distance the air has to travel. Vararam's do work great on G8s and GTO's because of crappy stock design.

With that said, I guess the Spectre is crappy. Oh I forget, because you don't sell it..lol.

I don't see how you can call it crappy, when you get a 3.5" aluminum tube, a steel heat shield and a big ass cone filter. No different than any of the other CAI besides the Vararam. Hell I think the S&B and K&N are all plastic. Spare me the heat transfer debate.

Maybe I will dyno mine. I do have a friend with a dyno in NOLA. I just dont care about HP numbers with this truck. It's not my race car.

Yeah, that's cool. Didn't say it was going to make 0HP. But 16 is not up to 30hp!!!!

Ohhhh BTW. K&N owns Spectre and use some of the same parts. Like how do you think I re-oil my Spectre filter. Yeah with the K&N kit.
