Vararam Pre Filter

Well after doing some looking around for a pre filter for the Vararam I came up with nothing. With some advice from other members here on the forum I got in contact with Outerwears. I sent them information on dimensions I received from Vararam with hopes that they would have a solution. With the snow storm we’ve been dealing with up here in the Northeast it took awhile to get a response back but I finally heard back today. Here is the response I received.

I think we have what you need. Custom built Outerwears to fit 19 1/4 inches long x 15 1/2 inches wide x 3" tall, water repellent, no top (meaning elastic on both ends) fits Vararam Air Grabber.
Price is
25.45 for the Outerwears
15.00 custom build fee
5.00 shipping through the post office
Total order would be $45.45
Give us a call at 800-967-3450 and ask a sales rep for part number 100-3938 (we offer black, blue, red, yellow, orange, purple, and lime green,)

Nice. I never went so far as to get a quote for the vararam, but I've used wraps before with good results. Be interested to see how it fits and if it helps. For $45 I might have to look into getting one to extended my cleaning intervals.

It’s about a 2 week lead time because it is custom made but once it gets here I’ll put up pictures and a review on how it fits and works

Well that sure didn’t take 2 weeks. It actually took exactly 1 week from the day I ordered it to the day I got it. Today I got the Outerwears Pre Filter I ordered for my Vararam. I can say I’m impressed not only but the extremely quick turn around on a custom order but the quality and fitment are perfect! I’ve attached pictures as promised, sorry about the messy truck it’s winter here in New York and I’ve been pretty lazy.






I also am in no way benefiting from this review. Just hoping to help people lessen the amount they have to clean these filters and hopefully help with the snow issue some

Thanks! I’ll let you know how well it works i figure as long as the water isn’t getting to the filter we will be good. Also Outerwears says that there product doesn’t restrict air flow much at all.

This will definitely help keep the filter cleaner longer. I ran a filter wrap on my S&B and it worked great. Great find!

We use those on all our dirt bikes and quads. They work really well on keeping dust and dirt out. On quads we always eliminated the air box or took the lid off. Making more air flow but a lot more dirt available to the filter. We ran the pre filters and they work great.

And then I'll have to get the 87mm TB from Moe's so that both of these compliment the ARH LT headers that I got that #Pull Ya passed up!
