Are there any vendors that offer a discount to forum members?

Every once and a while one will post about a member discount for a limited time. Haven't seen one since around Christmas though

That's interesting to me, you know. We have all of these "preferred" or "sponsored" vendors on the forum, with a lot of traffic to them from recommendations on here. You'd think they would give a 15% or so discount to members. Give something for all of the recommendations.

I'd like to see a vendor discount on BDS Suspension, RBP Wheels, Toyo Tires, Bushwacker Flares, MBRP exhaust and ummm.... maybe a bottle of Captain Morgan

I agree. But, if a business is going to go be vendor on here and become one of the top vendors, they should kick it back to us a little. I will usually figure out what I want, then do some shopping around to see who will give the best price.

On my Land Rover forum, one of the big off-road sellers will give a 10% discount on parts, and usually free shipping to forum members.

I think moes has free shipping.

But what I found sucky is nothing ever goes on sale. Like black Friday sale or around the holidays.

Billet Tech is the only that does a black Friday sale.

I'm in full agreement and while I'd love to support some of the guys that peddle their wares here the bottomline is you can get stuff cheaper elsewhere!

There are 2 ways to look at this. Many companies will set their base pricing high, and then offer discount codes to bring the price down. What we have tried to do is set our everyday pricing lower so that we do not have to use coupon codes. We ship everything in the states for free, and are always willing to make package discount for anyone looking for more than 1 item at a time. Oddly enough, sometimes locally you can find things cheaper... which normally isn't the case...

For example... BDS Suspension 6" Coil Over lift kit with 5" rear... $4161.80 CAD + tax... getting the price off the BDS website that's in US funds but paying the US price in CAD funds... That's a good deal compared to exchange, duty, brokerage, shipping etc added on to the admittedly lower US price given by some...

I also look at it like they are free giving advice, help, instructions, etc, which is money to me. Sure a discount, or once a year "blow out to forum members", but vendors here showing new products, ideas, prices, comparisons, etc is very beneficial.

Its also about volume of who gets a discount, as Hemi450hp aid with pricing if the price is set to a lets say 10% mark up with no shipping then throuw in a discount it wont be long till that business is no longer with the volume of people on the forum and others. If you promote their business alot and send people their way I'm pretty sure a good business owner will give a discount to such a person but not to all.

I'm all for discounts but I am also for good companies being in business.

point in case what I just ordered from Moes, new Vararam intake. I was going to order it from summit, they wouldn't ship to me in cali so another member sent me a link to Moes I ordered it and ended up being about $50 bucks cheaper once no shipping and price was taken into account. To me thats $50 bucks Moes left on the table to get your business in the firstplace. just my .02

The vendors help with the care and feeding of the site and they get to advertise to a segment of the population interested in updating their vehicles. Sure a discount would be nice, but if they did not pony up some $$ we the users of the site would have to put up with annoying pop-ups ads all over the screen, or we would have to pay to be on here. Have you seen this site without logging in, it's painful.

This. Plus I've ordered from Moe's a couple of times before. His prices are usually lowest anyway. I had several things I was looking at getting. One of them he knew I could get somewhere else just as cheap as he would be able to buy it at his cost. If you don't see it on his site, ask him. He might be able to get it for you. He is always willing to help out with questions you have also. That to me is better than any discount.

Free advice really is worth a lot! The other cool thing is these guys can put out products tailored to us it helps them find what the markets looking for my example being moes with the 5in tips? Who else does that he made them for us in theory that's a big luxury. with maxtrac fixing the ball joint issues so all we need is a level kit and don't have to change ball joints that's the service we get with them being prefered venders. And from time to Time we do get discounts just not all year long.
