ok guys so I replaced all my ball joints towards the end of july and the right/passanger side wheel bearing. The truck then passed inspection and all was good to go. I had to the shop do the drag link because they were charging 25 bucks more then I found it at auto zone, advanced auto or pep boys and installing it so I said why not. Now when I'm driving every now in the when on the highway at like 65-80 mph when going slightly left on the highway i get a slight to bad vibration and noise from the right side that sounds and feels like the right wheel is going to come off or like metal is banging together. I took it to one shop and they said the whole suspension was bad shocks stucks, sway bar, tie rods, ect.. I told them where to go. Then took it to the shop that inspected my truck they at first said the front suspension mite be bad but that they would let me know they were still checking it out. THey said they couldnt get it to duplicate the problem I was having and that they couldnt find it. The truck then didnt do it for about a week and it had come and gone sense. My suspect is that the wheel bearing I bought is just cheap **** and i need to replace it. Any ideas????? thanks again

Welcome to the forum!! Well sounds like it could be the wheel bearing but it may also be a billion other things. But I would have to say start there since you know it was a cheapo.

Take a look at the ball joints. Make sure there isn't a ton of play. The other thing to check since you have a 4x4 is to check the right front u joint. When going bad they can cause a vibration. Outside of that not too sure where to start.

might be the bearing. i worked on a few pool cleaners, i know its not a car, but when the bearings would go bad it would make a god awful metal grinding sound. and sometimes if they got wet, the grinding sound would be a little more quiet.

YES , all bearings are the same in a sense . If you do upgrade make sure to install a zert fitting so you can keep the new bearing lubed .
