If you have the buttons on the steering wheel that you can scroll thru and one will have the voltage but if you really want to know what the battery voltage is before starting and when running you will need a multi meter. Be sure your door is closed because the interior lights will pull down the battery voltage. Then right after starting read the voltage again. Should show around 14.2 volts coming into the battery. You don't mention which RAM you have so if it's a diesel with two batteries then it's a little more difficult to check each one. Have to disconnect one to isolate them. But you still can check alternator output. Voltage will gradually drop as the alternator recharges the battery(s). That is where you might see a reading of 13.7.
