I just bought a 2013 ram 1500 with around 83000. But a week later it got stuck in 4th. And check engine light came on. I got it checked and they told me it was the solenoid pack. So my question is,if anyone can help,is the truck still covered under dodge warranty? And if so,would it cover it.

My 2013 had the basic 3/36 BUT a 5yr/100000 mile power train warranty.

What did the dealer tell you? You're under 100,000, but what was your truck's in service date?

Sounds like your still covered by the 5 year 100000 mile warranty. The question is, is the solinoidpart of the drivetrain.

At face value this one seems straight forward 5 yr/100K drive train warranty.
Shifting the transmission IS part of the drive train.

Now, there are exceptions. For instance if the original owner was say a rental car company, towing service or a fleet operator, that might have no effect, but it might.

Your in-service date would be the date delivered to the first owner, so technically a fleet operator might have taken possession of a new 2013 as early as late August of 2012 which could leave you outside the 5 year coverage window.

I would definitely PM Andrea at Ram Cares with your VIN (two posts above this one) ASAP and find out your in service date.
