Has anyone used WeekndGarage AlfaOBD? I came across them while looking for info to remove my factory running boards.
I just bought the 22 limited, got another 1k off a great price because the running boards were acting up. I'm in the salt of winter and don't want to mess with them. For less than the price of 2 hinges, I ordered Rough Country boards. So want to turn off the factory boards. Will use it for other things. I have a topdon, but doesn't open a pathway to alfaobd.

Never heard of em, but whenever i see a name written in ebonics I figure it is either a scam or operated by *******

Add to that the fact that alfaOBD runs about 50 bucks, I would steer clear of them

That place is just charging you extra to supply things you can get yourself.
You can get alfaobd in the google play store, or download for windows at alfaobd.com.

Once you have that stuff, go into car configuration change and set these:
CustSetMenu 2: Automatic Side Step CSM Present- NO

CustSetMenu 3: Power Side Step Enable/Disable CSM Present- NO

Cabin Net: PSSM Power Side Step Module- Not Enabled

I got my AOBD reader through WG, but i get the APP from the Playstore. I have spoken to them several times and they seem to be legit.

Someone on the Dart forum had problems with them. He couldn't get past installing it and then it asked for a code. They seem to have modified alfaOBD with their logos. Stay away and use the playstore alfaOBD with the OBDLinkMX+

I am looking to add Mopar power steps to my TRX and I came across WEEKNDGARAGE, I looked at alfaobd’s distributor list and they are listed as the North American distributor listed here:https://alfaobd.com/distrib.html

I also emailed Alexey from AlfaOBD to confirm which they did. I like the idea of a local distributor because they will help me if I have questions, I know it will be hard to get support if I buy direct plus their pricing is identical to AlfaOBD.com $49.99 for Android and $59.99 for Windows, they also offered a discount if I bought the bundle together.

OBDMX+ seems very pricey for $139.9 USD vs WeekndGarages AlfaOBD reader for $69.99 with no tutorial or support. I don’t see the justification for 2x the price when I can get the whole set from WG for just the cost of a reader from OBDMX especially if I am just programming mopar steps.

Looking forward to this upgrade and will update here if it doesn’t go well
