Weird Bolt Inquiry

My son is replacing his engine and one of the parts that came with it doesn't have a part number or description. Any one know about it?

I think that's one bolts that goes on the front through the timing cover that an accessory bolts onto. Since you didn't say what vehicle, motor or year that's as close as I can guess. Let me know if I won

Thank you. That is correct. After his old engine was disassembled to start transferring over certain components it became clear what it was for.
He is replacing his because of the previous owners didn't do proper oil changes, the pump and engine was full of sludge which in turn ceased the engine after he started doing regular changes with synthetic oil.
