Weird Whining.

I have a weird whining noise coming from the front of my motor. I can hear it in the cab also. Is this normal? It's not the belt or tensioner either.

Is it at idle? Or while driving?

From the front is by the fan and radiator and all that. Yes at idle and driving.

While you truck is off...spin your fan and see if it makes the noise. Fan clutch might be making the noise. Not 100% tho

Lol well I doubt somebody swapped a gear drive on.

Mine did it the same when the alternator was going bad.
