Unhappy with current setup. Wanted to see what all is needed to install a 6.4 (485hp) Into a 2011 Ram 5.7?

Will this bolt right up?

Thinking of buying crate engine down the road and wanted to see if anyone has done this in a 6speed. Can’t find anything on the swap other then a 2500 6.4 swap

It's been done on a fair number of 5/6 speed trucks, but usually the next thing installed is an 8 speed,as that poor little RFE will hardly handle a stock 5.7 ,let alone the 485 hp 6.4. You'll need your front timing cover / your old oil pan / truck windage tray /oil pick-up tube / probably reuse your original sensors /your intake manifold / or a 6.4 truck intake /i think you'll need your flywheel / pilot bushing,as the majority of 6.4 crate motors are mds delete / and come set up for a manual trans car /and tuning. The 485hp 6.4 also requires at a minium 91 octane or higher fuel, and speaking from experience, they're happier on 93/94 octane. The truck 6.4 will live all day long on 87,and makes a very good truck engine. On paper it doesn't look like it makes much more then a 5.7,but trust me,it does as it has way better torque curve

Are there recommended aftermarket transmission options for a 426 pushing 650 hp and over 500lbs of torque?

Absolutely nothing RFE based. There have been claims for years, but no one has been able to make the RFE survive any serious amounts of power long term. Either 8sp or a built 46.
