I’m doing some things and need a longer bolt but don’t know what thread this is. Every other thread is a different size. I can just drill it out and use a normal bolt but was hoping to just find this bolt at 2” or 2 1/2” long.

It’s from a center console.

Looks like it is threaded for plastic if that helps?

Is it one of the 2 screws that go directly under the climate controls

This one bolts the cup holder and black tub down in the center console. I’ll have to actually double check it’s the same screw. The one I took a pic of may of been from unbolting the ac tuning from under the console but I believe they are the same

I need to extend the bolt in the center section. I’m making a different style tub work for a little project I’m working on

Any self tapping screw would probably work.its plastic so a regular course thread sheet metal screw would also work.if you ever went back to stock just use a shoter version of what you get

I am not positive, but there is one screw in there that is Gold Colored.
I have thought that it might be a GROUND Screw

each piece of blue tape, is where a screw goes
The one by itself is the gold colored screw

the blue plastic is the cigarette lighter

All console tray bottom and lid screws I have seen are that color I don't know why.they are definitely not grounded to anything though.

If you are wondering the technical name of that style hardware, it is a thread rolling screw especially made for brittle plastics. The particular style is very common in the automotive industry, although not unique.

Thank you. I’m a pipefitter and work with steel so I never come across this type of fastener.
