Its spring break, so I had some spare time to work on the truck. Decided to paint a couple of parts.

My old headlights had oxidized really badly, so I decided to pull these back out and change them up a bit.

What paint did you use for interior? Great paint job man!

I went to a local paint store and they mixed up some body color PV6 (sunburst orange) paint to match. I used it on the headlights and the radio bezel.

I'm painting the grill on the truck today. It looks like crap so far and I'm not happy with it. The paint I ordered seems to be a perfect match, but the paint can sputtered a lot and left the base coat streaky with the metallic in it. I'm going to have it redone soon, but I'm going to go ahead and apply the clearcoat and see if I can at least make it presentable for right now so that I can install it until the bumper is here and ready to be painted.

Put Spyder tow mirrors on. Got them on eBay for $89 (non-power). Took it on the interstate & got all the way up to 85mph. I could see clearly, no shake at all.

For all the hate with aftermarket mirrors, I'm super pleased! Changed the entire look of my truck IMO!

Looks nice! Don't have the chance to look yet, do they have power ones? I think the issue is that some don't come with the mounting base brackets, if that's possible, thus causing a shake. I saw somewhere on an old forum that guys were recommending to buy the bracket with an aftermarket one and it would stop the vibration.

OK, so after the paint was cleared and dried it didn't look nearly as bad as I thought it was going to. So I went ahead and mounted the new billet grill up to it and mounted it on the truck. The color is pretty close for the paint to be 12 years old.

I know that I'm having the upper bumper and step pad painted body color as well, but I'm torn as to what to do with the actual bumper. Do I order a chrome bumper since the truck will have chrome wheels? Do I order the chrome bumper and then do the black chrome treatment on both it and the wheels? Or do I order a black bumper, have the license plate holes filled and paint it the same color? These questions are why I haven't ordered the bumper yet.

They do have power ones, they were around $160ish i think.

These didn't come with backing plates, just a foam "cushion" just like my factory mirrors had that go between the mirrors & the door. And no shaking. At least no different than my factory mirrors' slight, almost unnoticeable vibration from wind resistance.

If I remember to I'll try to get a video on the interstate on the way home from work in a little while.

I'd color match the upper bumper and get the chrome lower like you said. It'll look better with your wheels IMO

did something inside, I have scrap chrome decal & made a few.
The smaller "certified badass"(1.5" tall) is for the heater control knobs & harder to weed out since the lettering is small.

The bigger Express decals are 3" tall, and made three pages of 3 each = 9 decals.
