Did a few things to my Ram this weekend, added 5 in tips to try to fill in the cutouts a little better, cost me about $140 for both tips. Then I finally added in the GTR CSP Mini LED bulbs I bought from Headlight Revolution (took 1 1/2 months to finally get them!) and I’m pretty happy about the results. The bulbs were small enough to not have to trim back the headlight seals that keeps water out of the headlights, so that was a plus. Now I’m just waiting on my tax return to throw more money at this thing!

And here’s a good side shot of the tips. About a few inches longer than the stock ones.

Did you cut off before the bulge part on the old tips so you were just fitting the new pipes to straight pipe? I thought of buying some black 5" tips off amazon but couldn't think how to deal with the pipe bulge until I saw your tips. And that way if I ever decided to get carvens instead I haven't cut the bulge off the existing exhaust pipes!

All this bulge and tip talk!

Seriously though, the 5” tips look way better. Should be from factory

I cut about two inches from the tip back on the pipe. I'll run out to my truck later and take a picture of how it looks.

Purchased a set of the black housing (clear lens) tail lights and 3rd brake light from DT MOTO. Had my eyes on them for a while and have heard good things. Another step closer to blacking this thing out! Will add pics when they arrive.

Broke down & ordered Carvens today after wasting way too much time trying to concoct cheaper alternatives that simply didn't have as much appeal to me. I got some very good financial news today so I said screw it, sat down a cocktail to celebrate (I rarely drink so that tells you how good a mood I was in) and placed the order.

And my spacers for the rear shipped from US super quick. Should hit customs tomorrow so I figure barring delay there, I should be installing by the end of the week!

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Washed & waxed after work on Sat. As usual got wax on handles & rails then noticed some paint chips & rust on pinch weld. When I got home was able to snag “best/safest parking spot, away from trees birds always know when you wash, and the nav. I am next to never moves. Went to my go to for all things concerning our trucks Ramforum & got great advice from Pull-ya, Burla, Ram1500rsm, Jb1 & many others. Love this forum & the freedom we all have & want to thank all of you for your help & THANK ALL MILITARY MEMBERS past & present for your sacrifice & service! America owes you a debt that may never be fully paid but I hope we will keep trying.

Did a little camp and hike. Road back there gets a little worse each time but on the plus side it keeps more people out. Ran into a diamondback rattler, didn’t bother us non so we went our separate ways. No way I was going to f with him still a mile from camp and hour drive to town.
