Finally removed my radio, not completely, but enough to see if could find a loose connection/wire that might explain why it shuts off every couple of minutes.
The radio has done this since I got it, it’s a 15’ that I got in 19’ but used to go weeks at a time with no issues.
I pm’ed SitKneelBend for help, I was afraid I would break something trying to remove the radio & end with a rattling dash, which would drive me crazy.
He sent me a link that worked perfectly, it was easier than I thought, between that & his advice I’m pretty sure radio $hit the bed as I didn’t find any loose connections.
Wanted to say a public THANK YOU to SitKneelBend, if the forum ever had a contest for members helping us with solid advice & sharing their expertise/knowledge he would have to be in the top 3 IMHO.

Hey Adam, please describe your radio failure or a link if there's already a discussion in another thread.

Don't toss it away yet.

I put on a nilight roll bar
(I know, it won't do nothing in the event of a roll over, I ain't fixing to roll it)

What it does do, is give me a solid surface to mount my plow beacon too

This is the first (really, only) one I found that works with a tonneau cover (mostly) AND it doesn't stick out too far past the cab (kind of a requirement for a rollbar, no?) so the beacon doesn't stick out too high and it still fits in my garage

Plus, I think it looks cool
you have a link to this roll bar

Yes and no, i bought it from a local reseller that deals in Amazon returns, so i paid about $125.00 out the door for it

It was listed as missing hardware but I figured if it had the main parts i could make it work

Turned out all that was missing was the brackets that pinch up in the bed to secure the bar, i still had some hardware kicking around from a superdookie trailer hitch that worked to install it, no biggie

Having said all that, here is an eBay link

And Amazon

If you want me to, i can snap some better pictures of it

Replaced the leaking radiator (I hate doing radiators !) and repaired the non functional shift button on the column. So stoked to be able to actually downshift while driving down the steep icy mountain roads in my area of the mountains. Feel much safer now, only thing is my back brakes are now completely shot because of how long the shifter wasn't working, which meant I had to ride the brakes down these big hills. Ordered a set of rotors and calipers that should be here tomorrow. This will be the next project for when the snow stops. Then onto the front end work that I'm dreading

Nice sunny day yesterday so I brought it out and made a trip to the hardware store.
I can't drive it from December through March due to reduced insurance coverage, and I don't want it to get all salted up.

Didn’t do anything but did buy my next few oil changes worth. AA had PUP on sale plus 5 quart jug got you a free oil filter so needless to say bought what ever PUP 5 quart jugs they had and Purolator Boss filters. I can use the filters on my other vehicles while I use up the RP ones. Truck has redline in it now but a good deal is a good deal and never had issues using PUP in my other hemis. Also got 6 15oz bottles of lubegard yesterday in the mail.

I really like this roll bar wonder if it would fit with a bakflip cover somehow

Not sure, I have a trip fold cover on it that works...mostly

I can run it completely closed, no problem

I can fold up on section no problem

But I can NOT fold two sections up, they would lean up against the bar

Shoot me a few pics of your cover and I'll tell you what I think

I dealt with a busted exhast manifold bolt on the passenger side this week. The manifold and gasket were replaced 4 years ago when it was still under warranty, and no 30K miles later it broke again. This fix was relatively easy as the broken bolt had a lot of material protruding so I didn't have to use the welder like I did when repairing the drivers side a year or two ago. I used my nice 6X48 belt sander to sand the manifold flat like I did with the drivers side so hopefully I won't need to do this repair again.

As long as you reuse the same manifold it won't happen again.

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I greased my suspenion, usually do my oil at the same time, but with taxes due on the 15th I’m going to have to go over my 5k oci by a little bit.
I realize many people have longer oci’s but I’ll still “ stress” about it until I get it done. I did the suspenion on time, all that cost me is time.

Installed new tailgate along with Ikonic emblem and blacked out "Laramie" and "4x4" badges. Installed AEM AFR gauge. Trying to decided if I want to tackle the tranny fluid change today...

I had to change the orignal battery in my 2014 sport.
I am so disappointed that the poor thing craped out on my after only 11 years.
Prices have really changed since the last one I brought and I don't remember them so heavy.
