Snapped the coupler off my k&n while installing a catch can. Tossed the oem back in. Trucks going to look less cool under the hood this week!

Swapped 18 watt flush mount tow hook cover pods to 40 watt. They are smaller than 18w...go figure

Are these hooked to your high beam or is cutoff low enough to run continuous? Or separate switch?

Can’t decide between this or tow hooks.

Thanks

Pulled the JBL 3 1/2's I put in the dash the other day, went from 150mhz bass blockers to 300mhz. The 150 that Crutchfield suggested wasn't enough. Much better now, but I still think I may want to remove them and find an 8ohm speaker to go in the dash to tone them down a bit.

I then swapped out my license plate bulbs for some LED's. I also installed my slimline AVS in channel vent visors!!

Truck is dirty, but it'll give you an idea of how slim they are.

LOL I did the same thing brother. I said F it and moved to a Vararam. TONS of free space now in the engine compartment. Gonna install an air compressor I think.

Lost a Wadestar blind spot mirror driving down the express way today. I'm sure all the negative temps lately had something to do with it. I sent Wade a email asking if it it was possible to purchase just 1 replacement. He already replied and is sending out a free pair as a replacement. I can't say enough about his customer service!!!20180107_162426.jpg

For me, it's what i hope to be doing to the truck this week. I should get her back mid-week after the repairs. Then I have a catch can, door sill guards, and finish up my bed lighting project. Then I'll apologize deeply and often to her for my mistake :love62:

did you get new panels to put in the bumper to make up for the smaller lights?
Yep, new panels. Waaay brighter but almost too much side light. Didnt get on a dark road this morning for pics but the 18s seemed to light the road directly in front of truck better while the 40s lit the sides of road better.....damn it.

can you shield the sides a bit? Maybe use the old panel and put some kind of barrier on the sides?

That's exactly what I said to myself. Going to fix the k&n, sell it and go with Vararam or S&B!

Just got done installing a small 7” antenna and the Deezee tailgate assist. Although the tailgate assist works, I’m still iffy on it. It’s a pretty tight squeeze when the tailgate is closed and looks like it may rub and scratch the paint. Also when I activate the latch on the tailgate it doesn’t fall, it has to be pulled a bit to get it out. Guess that’s from everything being so tight in there.

Mine went in smoothly, with no binding. Maybe make sure the tailgate bolt is tightened, and the piece on the wire is in the right place.

I tightened the bolts as far as I could and the wire shroud piece is exactly 3.5” down like the instructions say. Maybe I should play with it and see where it fits best.

Looks good, I started to install my deezee assist few months back but I was stuck getting the piece that expands in the tailgate to cooperate........not enough torque.

There is a thread here on the forum where guys did something to resolve the rubbing issue. It might actually be a Dee Zee dedicated thread. Sorry, I don't remember how they resolved it or the exact thread, but it is in here somewhere.
