Replaced all brake rotors pads and calipers, installed the K&N Blackhawk CAI in the new truck off my 2012 that I just sold, and replaced both exhaust manifolds.

No pics because it was hot and I wanted to get done. Hauled a queen box spring and mattress 3 1/2 hours away to Alabama to move my daughter to a new apartment 30 minutes away from her old one. Moved everything in a few trips across town and hauled the old, heavy, antique full bed (frame, mattress, metal box spring) back home with some other things she didn't need anymore.

Attempting to drop front drive shaft. 2 1/2 bolts loose and ready to come off. 4th bolt is presently defeating me. I'm running out of gas. Trusty 1/2" breaker bar/16" pipe extender, previously a formidable combination, is having a tough time loosening these bolts. A VERY tough time. Milwaukee 1/2" Fuel impact wrench is cowering in the corner, crying. It makes nice rattling sounds like it's doing something. But it's not.

Useless.

I think I'll call it a day.

Tomorrow back at it. The joys of wrenching.
Patting myself on the back today. I got the wretched bolts off of the driveshaft flange and dropped the front driveshaft out of the way far enough to get at the shift bracket on the side of the transmission. This allowed the installation of @caulk04 's transmission heater bypass doodad.

Not a fun project IMHO but I think it will ultimately be worth the effort.

Planned to do a much needed exterior detail ( wash, clay, paint correction, polish, sealant, etc) but the city decided to excavate the streets in the neighbor hood and create massive amount of dust.

Son of a ***** !!!

postponed…..

Just installed a step that's advertised for 2500/3500 Ram 2019+ on my 2018. The ones sold for 2018 specifically are huge, ugly, & expensive. Being the HDs didn't really change in 2019 it bolted right on and looks great. Got it on Amazon for $104. I did a post about it in the HD 4th gen section.

Finally closed on my new house. So the truck's been putting in the hours moving my junk. First load was all the bikes which meant putting my hitch rack on the front hitch. LOL

Then I took my kids wanted to explore the field, so we went for a drive, forgetting my sunroof was open so I filled my truck with thistle.

My 2017 3500 Dually was an auto so I had this floor console with 3 cup holders from the factory.
My 2022 3500 SRW had the current bench seat with the shelf... I bought the console pieces and trimmed it quite a bit to make it fit.
My new 2023 1500 I again bought the 5 pieces for the floor console. Just a little trim because the sponge between the vinyl floor and cab floor is really thick.
Just installed. 10 minutes and I think it "looks" from factory.

Did the upper glove box. Post pictures later.
FYI, My 2023 RAM 1500 Classic Crew Cab Tradesman was assembled in 3rd week of June, 2023.
There was no power source available to plug and play the light like my 2017. I spent an hour feeling around.

Transport with my horsetrailer. Sold my Shagya-Arabian foal ORION to horseback archerists. I'm sad but he's got a very good place there and competent fine owners.

Installed pro suspension rear lowering coils. Don’t know if it’s a placebo effect but seems to handle and launch better. Says it lowers 2”. In my excitement to install them forgot to measure before. Left pic before.

Rotated the tires and changed the oil and filter.

The oil filter location is ridiculous. Dumps oil all over the front end components and a plug that leads to the front end. I assume it's for the auto 4WD . Not sure.

Anyway, gonna start researching filter re-location kits.
