My truck is primarily a tow vehicle for the camper... Air Pump, tire repair kit. Weather Tech sun screens, bag of cedar chips. 3800 watt inverter generator and fuel. Solo Bonfire, Blackstone Grill, Griddle Combo, Full tool box, fire wood. 20 lb propane tank. Clothes, first aid, food supplies are in the camper. In winter I don't use the truck for extended trips. Oh, I forgot. AAA Membership in my wallet.

Your list reminded me of some more items in mine so I edited yours and selected a bunch from your list to add to my previous one. In addition, a plastic milk crate and a two step step ladder that i forgot.

Well, I got a little more than I anticipated. I was thinking someone would say a first aid kit, tools, change of clothes, picnics supplies, etc, not each individual item! But that's ok also.

BadHemi2014, I noticed you had some tire repair items you carry. For my possible use, how would you get the tire on and off the wheel to repair it?

Thanks, now I feel as though the box I keep in the backseat needs to grow.

Search for a tire plug kit on Amazon, the tire stays on the rim.

PS; my thanks was just me being a smart ass. Great idea for a thread. Too bad I need more stuff now.

If your readers do order a tire plug kit they need to remember they also need to carry a compressor. Certainly a valid "carry". I think I'll depend on a spare. If the spare is bad I'll call my insurance and get them to send someone to repair it. But the plug kit and compressor would be a good fail-safe for some.

Short list? Recovery supplies, first aid kit, waterproof and/or cold weather gear depending on the season, extra water, dog food and plenty of nicotine.

Wow, I feel like I'm under prepared...Besides the required reg/ins papers in the glove box, the only thing that is always in the truck is the dog bed and like Atcer2018 plenty of left over dog hair...

Now my 65 mustang, I have enough tools and spare parts to rebuild it on the side of the road should it be needed...
