Very true, havin the cut outs closed also helps due to they can normaly hear you a mile away romping on it.

Ever since I went to the LT's with 3" piping all the way to the muffler I found that my times are better with the cutout closed on the short runs like to 60 and the 1/8.

I've tried with the cutout closed, open and even tried opening it as I do the run and cutout closed is best with my current setup. But nothing sounds better than WOT with the cutout open :roflsquared:

friggin' coworker asked me today if my muffler fell off of my "forty thousand dollar toy" - I said no.....but the old one fell on my head, does that count for anything? :shooter:

Did you tell your co worker to crawl under it and find the leak?

Lol. It's always fun for me to roll into work in a truck that idles louder than the buses parked outside :D.

The only thing I have clamped on my exhaust right now is where the header collector meets the cats... I did not want to weld that as I will be removing the headers and heads soon enough to do some upgrades so being able to remove everything to work on on a bench was a necessity. I did have the ORY clamped up to start but the thing leaked like siv even after using an impact wrench to tighten them down so we welded everything up nice and neat and its been doing great ever since

^^ did you use any of the black rtv like exhaust sealent for the slip on exhaust with clamps? It stays flexable so you can pull the exhaust back apart at a later date and time.

Do they make a specific rtv for exhausts? I have never seen it at any of the stores.

I think I might have some red in my tool chest over at the garage. Going to have to check and see bc I could use it on some of the temporary welds I have on my exhaust.

Definitly let us know bc my exhaust is only partially welded bc I plan on pulling it off again. So if there is something I can put on the small leaks at the joints that would help until I give it the finish weld that would be helpful.
