So I noticed this random plug while putting in my new set of headlights yesterday and I was wondering if any of you know what it is? It's located directly below the passenger side headlight behind the front bumper. Any help would be great.

May be for the factory fogs. Is there one on the other side?

I have something similar on my truck and I'm wanting to say it is for the DRLs.

It is only on the passenger side and I know it isn't for the factory fogs because I am using those wires.

That's for the bottom headlight adjustment screw. I think he had his bumper loosened so he could mount the headlights.

It's there to collect dirt and mud! Kidding, but I too would be interested in knowing.

Lol I said that :p Didnt know if there might have been a different looking one.

OP have you followed the wire to see where it goes? Doing that might give you a clue.

I haven't yet followed the cord and I'm sure there wasn't a lightbar in there. I was thinking that it might be a block heater adapter of some sort or it's a power source for a winch. Does anybody else have this? It's turned into a mystery I want solved haha.

I don't have that on my 96, it's not part of the drl thats for sure, wiring is to light to be part of the block heater. What about factory wiring for plow lights?

I know that its not for a factory plow because the build sheet from dodge doesn't have the snow plow ready package on it, it does however have 4.10 gears:rotflmao:
Really want to get this figured out. Anyone with a 99 or newer see anything like this?

Planning on following the wire today after work. Maybe that will help.

I've got a 98, I have the same plug on my driver's side. Haven't looked too much into it, but was curious about it. I don't have fogs, nor the wiring or switch for it anyways

Does it look OEM to you, or like something that someone may have added?

I have that very same plug on my truck. It goes straight to the fuse box. No idea what it's for.
