Well my feelings on a custom audio system are mixed... I was really big into car audio with my previous two vehicles and could never make the system sound as good as I wanted.

Why? I grew up working at a pro audio/radio company. So I'm a music and sound addict. My home system is B&W 703 speakers powered by a 80's British MOS-FET amplifier custom rebuilt with new transistors, capacitors and drive circuits, a Sim Audio preamp, Arcam CD Player, and a custom built preamp for my turn table... So if my car stock factory system is decent I'm ok with it. If I can play around with it and tweak it and change it I'm never going to be satisfied and drive around listing to AM radio because it doesn't **** me off.

Pictures of the system when it was in my apartment at school is attached... Now that I have my own house I've made a lot of changes.

I haven't on a new ram but I have installed it on many a other vehicles (including 3 rams), and it's pretty easy.

I read through the instructions just to see what all would be involved for a couple of different brands. Seemed pretty straight forward. But the first part always says "professional installation is required/recommended". Thought maybe there was something I'm missing.

Then again my air box instructions and exhaust all said the same things.

I was getting nervous till I read the last line there. LOL

Hardest part is getting my bum of a brother to relinquish the install bay for a day.

Dumb question from doing some reading around... Why are new trucks not already leveled? Style or some type of purpose?

So you can put stuff in the bed/tow. Once it's level and you put **** in the bed, you're pullin' a wheelie :D
