What to do to get better gas mileage on a 2021 Ram Big Horn?

I would like to know is there anything I can do to get better gas mileage with out breaking the bank?

Buy a Prius Hybrid for a daily driver. Will be far cheaper than trying to get better mileage from your pickup. You can't overcome aerodynamics and weight. A Jeep GC with the same motor gets 50% better gas mileage.

OP: wateva mpg U getting be what it is: Proper PSI on tires. Running top tier fuel. Not carrying extra heavy junk in truck. Keep truck to 70 mph or less. No hard fast starts. Proper management of skinny pedal. Proper Maintenance: oil, fluids, filters etc.

Just so many factors influence Mpg’s.

Looked at yer profile. See u have V6. U got a vehicle being moved by a motor but that vehicle is a rolling brick with computers just only so much can be done. All above applies whether an 8 or 6 cylinder. Also keep an eye on yer oil filter housing. They R known to leak and PPL replace with a Dorman unit. Got nothing to do with MPG just maintenance item u need to be aware.

When it's time for tires, prioritize highway tires with low rolling resistance and lighter weight.

It’s a square brick 5-6K rolling down a road. I bought for usage and need. MPG Neva made it through any considerations as U have to accept wat U got lol.

Answer: Pretty much nothing. The Truth. If it makes you feel any better, my 2012 and 2014 run on 93 and they both get 13.5mpg. If you look at it that way, your gas bill is looking fantabulous Hope that helps a little, the truth sucks sometimes.

My 2020 1500 classic tradesman 5.7 hemi got good gas mileage on cruise control 20 -22 mpg highway but the rebel i just got get 15mpg on highway

Go easy on the gas pedal, limit idle time, keep tire pressure up, and don't drive around with a bunch of junk in the bed.

My last truck, for 20 years, was probably getting around 12 mpg. Probably a wash considering fuel prices, and one way or another, those will come back down. Worth it to me in any case. If I have to, I'll cut somewhere else, I like driving what I like to drive.

In my humble opinion. Getting a V6 in a large pickup is a mistake. Especially if you drive it and expect any kind of acceleration. My Hemi with 392 gears gets 20-23 MPG on cruise on level highway. Of course its in eco mode most of the time. Around town I get 17-18. Now I don't baby it. I floor it several times a week. To blow out the carbon haha and its just fun.
Quick story. I bought a 1982 Mercury Capri RS. It had the 302 motor. I met a guy at the dealership who had the basic same car with a V6. Asked me about my gas mileage. I told him. He was flabbergasted how much more I got. And I rode that car hard!
Point. V6 does not mean better gas mileage. Your V6 is always working harder than my HEMI.

Yes, absolutely if I was looking for 30 plus mpg I would have gotten a Camary. But I wouldn't have looked as handsome as I am in one.

The best way to get better mileage is to be real careful about how you treat the gas pedal.
There are engine mods you can do, but given that the engine fuel system is a feedback controlled electronic fuel injection system, any one thing you do won't do much. If you want to spend the bucks, you can install a better exhaust, better intake, and better cam, each chosen to work with the others with the intention of increasing fuel mileage, not high RPM power (which is not going to be easy to find).
I feel your pain; my '22 Quad Cab V6 averages 21~22mpg, mixed street/freeway.

2014 Ram with 3.6 highway tires and depending on the headwind, I get 25-28 mpg (on the highway) stop and go city is a killer. Average city is about 17-19

I ran across that somewhere on line and thought it was a good example of the curiosity of a young boy. I never did what it depicts, but have been zapped a few times as an adult working on electrical things. Once to the point that I had one of those small little round wounds where it not only damaged the skin, but further down into the tissue of my index finger. Was very painful for some time!

I can quite imagine your grandma reacting to that!
