So I hate this for you man, if it were me I wouldn't have installed that without new solenoid, I think this should be where you go. Do you at least have a drain pan with a plug?

Not yet, i have one ordered. I know, i should’ve installed a new SP, but i still have the old vb, so in reality installing the old SP onto the old VB should make it somewhat drivable, correct?

Yeah but that is a lot of work and I'm not sure how that would work anyhow, maybe check local auto part stores, some of them will have an rfe SP. The TC shouldn't have ran dry, how many quarts did it take to go full? I wish I was there to help you out, laugh about it.

oreillys has it for 609$.......yeah, not doing that. They have the white plug, but that’s not going to work even though it’s only 200$ compared to the gray plug that’s 600.

I’m ordering 6 new screws from moparpartsgiant. Expedited delivery of course. I need this truck back up and running ASAP.

Did you change filters? Now I'm thinking I'd run everything through a screen in case something is off causing that scratching sound.

No, i shut off the engine and let it sit for around 10 minutes, and it’s not doing it anymore. I filled up the tranny with around 2 more quarts of fluid and it completely went away. It was happening in park, not neutral.

I’m ordering all 6 because these seem to only be a one use type of screw. This one broke off in the case but there seems to be enough left that i can take it out with some vise grips once i drop the vb.

It is usually an up charge 350 bucks for solenoid, that may be white.

well, you know putting old VB and old solenoid will not fix your original issues, so I'd get off that? Give your best effort this time before buttoning it up, maybe everything will be 100. Shoot the guy a pm and let him now what happened. I see there are other suspects of VB not getting out of first, accumulator piston could be suspect, but my money is on SP.

Mine is too as it seems that it’s the solenoid acting up, and it’s doing the rev up without shifting in all gears now.

The truck has a delayed shift from 1-2, i forgot to say that. It usually shifted at 1.9K before, and the shift would be slightly firm, but now, it’s shifting at 2.2K-2.3K and it’s so hard you can hear the plastic in the dash crack from it.

Would a white SP work?

The only thing that comes to mind is that this truck is a 2WD, but in the first vb it used a 4WD filter. The new VB is also a 4WD VB, So i thought it’d work. Can this be the issue?
