Mileage?

It's a toss up with a truck that new. It will all depend on what you can get a new one for. If you trade it in the dealer is going to give you crap for it because one could easily buy a brand new truck for what it is prob worth (rebates, incentives, etc.). To buy your used one would be because it is substantially cheaper.

The same concept applies to selling it private only it relies on the buyers knowledge of the circumstance detailed above.

i'd hate to say it, but trade in probably 26-29k. private parts maybe 30-32.

like stated above someone can purchase a new one for 10-12k off of msrp

8k miles

Sounds like this could be an expensive mistake for me. Although I only paid around 38k for it.

I checked mine on KBB the other day, and was shocked. The huge discounts on the new models really hurt our resale. I compared on KBB. My Ram is only worth $4k more than my Grand Cherokee -- which is 1 yr older, has >double the mileage, and was $4K less when new.

That's a nice truck. Are you selling in order to trade up for a 2014?

Our rams retain the value pretty well, however you don't see it for quite a few years because of the circumstances swargo stated early. Because you got your vehicle below msrp you have a slight better chance of getting your money back in another usable way.

Why are you looking to sell or trade it?

No, it was a dumb purchase by me. I quickly realized I'm not a truck person.

I'm actually looking to buy a truck almost exactly like yours, with the Rambox though. Based on the fact that I can get a new one for 10-14k off MSRP though I personally am looking at getting one for 28-29k. I love that color, and they aren't making it on the 14s but for some reason its not a popular color.

I can't believe people are getting 14K off a 45K vehicle.

My trucks stickered for 41k. 35k was the best I could do.

Retail for your truck is 37,334. wholesale is 32,184. Trade-in value is 29,084. This is based on the info provided at 8k miles. Dealers will offer you somewhere between 25-27k for it. Go to Carmax as they will get you a baseline price on what your truck will be worth. Dealers will be close to that amount as well.

LOL! You can't calculate your trade-in value as money off MSRP! That's your downpayment. LOL!

If you give the dealer $48K in cash, hell you got the truck for free! LMAO!

I didn't say mine was 48k msrp, it was actually 48k after warranties and other added stuff. I was just simply stating that with what vehicles are worth an negotiation, it's not hard to get the dealer to come down.

Dealer offered me $26k, I think I'll be keeping it awhile or try to sell it on my own.

Blue book trade in on mine is shown as 36-38k....private party is 42k

Only owe 25 on it. Trade in and Private party are both more than I paid for it.

if I went to trade it in, and they offered me 26k, I'd laugh as I walked out.

I owe nothing on mine and won't owe anything on the next vehicle either but that doesn't mean I'll give it away. I didn't laugh I just looked at him and smiled. He said "I thought you'd think that".
