What's the most you've hauled/towed with your HD's?

That and chips and stacks and tunes and lifts and giant ass tires and Metal Mulisha/ Tap Out stickers and flat billed caps and white brimmed glasses.

I came from the world of heavily modded diesel and while they are awesome in their own right. I would really have to know someone to buy their previously modded truck. It is way too easy to have done something stupid with a hot tune and removed said calibration prior to selling. Way too many folks in my old world asking questions about EGTs well into "holy **** I can't believe it didn't melt" territory while towing etc.

The whole overfueling black smoke crowd really should be avoided.

There is something to be said about a gas rig under full warranty that can run 87 octane or 89 and throw 340+ HP at the wheels, and starts with a push of a button and requires gasser maint. vs. diesel....that fills the needs of many of us who tow <12k on a less than weekly basis.

YAY! We are starting another diesel versus gas debate and why I bought what I did in a thread that has nothing to do about it...

ST - No one is starting another Diesel vs. Gas debate.

Really? Nobody is bringing up a diesel versus gas or reasons why they did or didn't buy X engine?

...and that's one reason I'm VERY leery of buying a used 2500/250 diesel

I usually get blamed for starting a "diesel versus gas" debate by some people here for saying much less.

I normally welcome your detailed responses in rebuttal to potentially false or misleading information presented as facts but in this case I'm not sure why you feel the need to debate the validity of someone else's opinion.

We all make a choice on vehicles based on different criteria, there is no singular correct answer.

I believe that falls short of a full on diesel vs. gas debate. But if you want to debate the lack of debating based on the fact that in the past people felt you were the master-debater for starting debates with much less incendiary master-debate speak, then by all means master-debate all you want on this one, just don't master-debate while looking at my posts specifically as it makes me feel dirty, like an over-fueled Cummins......

cheer up guys :flowers2:

River19's post was just an opinion and not the start of a debate. if anything I started the alleged "gas vs diesel" debate with my " I dont need a CTD iv got a 6.4 HEMI" and that was just stating that the Hemi works for me. and that's it.

I invite all to the "cage match" so we can get this thread back on topic

I clearly saw "gasser maint. vs. diesel" in your posts so how is that not comparing a gas versus diesel? Like I said, I have been accused by some here that I started a diesel versus gas debate for saying much less even though it was just my opinion like you say your statement was. So why the double standard?

ST - I can't answer that for you. I'm afraid you'll have to wait for an answer from those who have accused you of something.

I wish you could answer it because I know the ones who do accuse me of it all the time don't have the balls to.

Now lets get off the diesel versus gas topic you were on or the "Why I purchased X engine" and back on the topic of the thread which is "What's the most you've hauled/towed with your HD's?" shall we.

The tires I have on the gooseneck are a speed rated L (75mph) they are also rated at 4080# per tire so in this instance between all 6 tires they are at less then 45% of there rated capacity. They are a 14 ply tire. Haven't had a 14 ply go bad yet, I used to blow out 10 plys when it was a tandem axle, So I went to the 14 ply problem solved until I broke an axle last year so I decided rather then buy just 1 new axle, I'd buy 3 and make it even more heavy duty.

I mean the 37" and 40" mud graps accompanied by a gigantic lift. Looks cool but not something I'd be willing to buy.

Some impressive tows, how about payload hauling in the bed? For me, the two heaviest I have done two loads of flooring, one was about 1600lbs and another about 2600lbs both 225 miles up through the mountains including some decent grades. Squat in the back wasn't bad at all considering and I was able to maintain 70+mph with no strain whatsoever.

Got 13.5mpg on the lighter run and about 12.X on the second, can't remember the exact fuel economy. I was impressed with the stability with load in the rear.

My old F250 felt sketchy with a one ton load of pellets in it, this was night and day.

Others have similar experience?

Find my posts in here, 1.25 yards of 21aa limestone is the most I've had in mine which was around 3500 pounds. It rode really good but was still really stable.

I saw that in person in Sturgis a few years back. It was impressive, but I imagine a parking lot wpuld be the bane of its existence. Lol.
