So these MPG and MSRP threads are always kind of interesting as the vast majority of responders leave about half of the needed info off or have only driven about 2,500 miles or live at sea level and drive only flat highways at 50 mpg or have only a 2WD of have 37 inc tires or are speed demons or never use their speed control and surge all the time. So I will try.
5,00 miles. Hemi 5.7, 3.92, 4 wheel drive, air suspension and every option except 22s. In other words the heaviest one out of the factory that they make Including Etorque.
First of all if you live in the west near the mountains at 80 mph everything gets about 16-17 in good weather. Everybody, if you have my config.
From 70 on down it gets interesting as the technology starts to matter. With just slightly hilly terrain and careful monitoring of your MPG dash you can find the sweet spot for your technology and that is where this RAM is real fun. That being said break in does matter and in this setting my mileage just keeps improving right up to about 20 mpg with some cargo.
I hate to say this but I think the online Car shows are wrong about the tonneau covers, they help 1/2 mpg.
My Ford SC 4X4 Ecoboost 3.73 got 7-8 mpg with my enclosed 12' trailer 65- 70 mph and I thought it pulled it pretty easily, but this Hemi is smoother, pulls it better, and gets 11-12.
Often I get the best mileage in stop and go traffic. I can not tell when my engine stops and starts at lights with the Etorque so I fail to understand why people mind sitting at lights with their engine off.
So far that is my two cents....well more like three.
