*insert curse word here* Thanks for letting me know.. save me searching for the rims..100% a 2022 will not allow you to change your tire size with your radio...
I'd like to know where you got that oddball 14,as i don't think any 4th Gen Ram has ever had the ability to change the tire size in the computor via the radio. You sure you're not thinking of a Diablo handheld tuner .I''ve always loved the look of these style wheels on a Ram. I remember my 2014 had the ability to change the tire size via the radio for the computer/speedo. Anyone know if a 2022 with electronics package(ie 8.4" radio) still allows it?
Thanks!
Mike

I remember a buddy of mine had an SRT and he was able to change tire size on his radio ... but don't remember if it was a custom radio that had the tuner hooked to it ... would make sense now ...I'd like to know where you got that oddball 14,as i don't think any 4th Gen Ram has ever had the ability to change the tire size in the computor via the radio. You sure you're not thinking of a Diablo handheld tuner .
The only truck i've ever seen with the SRT pages was my buddies truck, and he got in on the early Jailbreak kits, which accessed the performance pages, but i still don't think it gave him the ability to change tire sizes via the radio. Both my wifes last 2 Challengers have had the good radio, with her 16 having the SRT performance pages, and her 1320 has the drag pages, neither one of those cars will let you change tire sizes via the radio,i'm not sure if the Redeye or Superstock will let you change tire sizes,as they might be differant from a standard ScatpackI remember a buddy of mine had an SRT and he was able to change tire size on his radio ... but don't remember if it was a custom radio that had the tuner hooked to it ... would make sense now ...

Nope, never used a Diablo tuner or modified the ECM in any vehicle other than the dealer doing their thing. It was a stock radio on a Tradesman, it was buried in the menu's somewhere (too long ago to remember where). Just thought it was neat they gave you the ability to change tire size (it was 2 selections if I remember right)I'd like to know where you got that oddball 14,as i don't think any 4th Gen Ram has ever had the ability to change the tire size in the computor via the radio. You sure you're not thinking of a Diablo handheld tuner .
Are you sure it wasn't the dealer who reprogrammed it for the tire size differances.I had a 13 Tradesman with the RA3 radio, and i don't ever remember seeing anyway you could change tire sizes in the radio, the only radio i have never had is the RA5,but i've never seen anybody ever post about being able to change tire sizes with it either. You're the first guy i've ever heard that said they could change tire sizing in the radio,if you can remember any of the steps you used to do it,please post them up,as i'm sure lots of guys would be interested in how you did it.Nope, never used a Diablo tuner or modified the ECM in any vehicle other than the dealer doing their thing. Nope, it was just me futzing with the radio one day and saw the selection. I wish I could remember the steps to do it, but it was 6-7yrs ago. If I remember right, you couldn't enter in the size, it was just the selection for sizes available that year. As for what model radio it was, I don't know.. just that it looked like what is stock in a 1500 Classic Tradesman for 2022.Are you sure it wasn't the dealer who reprogrammed it for the tire size differances.I had a 13 Tradesman with the RA3 radio, and i don't ever remember seeing anyway you could change tire sizes in the radio, the only radio i have never had is the RA5,but i've never seen anybody ever post about being able to change tire sizes with it either. You're the first guy i've ever heard that said they could change tire sizing in the radio,if you can remember any of the steps you used to do it,please post them up,as i'm sure lots of guys would be interested in how you did it.
The 22 is a Classic... Only way to get standard cab/short bed nowadays..Is the 22 the new body style or the classic? The 4th gen rams are 5 lug and the 5th gen trucks have 6 lug wheels. Also depending on the size of the rims and tires you dont need to change calibrations.

What size tires are on it now?The 22 is a Classic... Only way to get standard cab/short bed nowadays..
Also, doesn't the Alpha OBD software tool by Chrysler also allow tire size changes? Pretty sure it can. That's probably the easiest path for the OP. That way you don't have to hunt down someone with a snap-on scanner. Plus, certain functions may be locked-out on 2018 and newer trucks using a scan tool w/o using a Secure Gateway tool (which only shops are likely to have). This from the Snap-on site:
"Automobile manufacturers are developing solutions to protect their vehicles’ networks from unauthorized access, including potential cyber-attacks. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) recently implemented a secure gateway module that was introduced on a selection of their 2018 and newer model vehicles.
For those vehicles with the secure gateway module, access to certain diagnostic functions requires registration and authentication through an approved device for all aftermarket scan tools.
With this release Snap-on introduces its Secure Vehicle Gateway™ solution to provide direct access to secure OEM vehicle gateway modules. Snap-on and FCA worked closely to develop a solution that uses FCA’s Aftermarket Scan Tool User Management and Tool Registration system known as AUTOAUTH to allow Wi-Fi enabled diagnostics platforms using current software to perform secure gateway functions. ...."
Of course this all started after a group of guys illustrated on a now-famous youtube video, how they could hack into a Jeep Grand Cherokee computer remotely ....and take control, and shut down functions. (interesting video if you search for it).
Thanks for the Alfaobd info. I thought his tk was a '22. Well there are a few ways to do it besides the dealer.Alfaobd is not tool by Chrysler
Written by someone in, I would guess who is German, as it's in German and English.
Only has supports for Chysler/Ram/Dodge/Jeep cause Fiat bought them.
Yes you can enter preset tire or custom tire.
He doesn't need SG cause he has 2012 truck. Only needs software and obd module.
