May not be significant here but my wife has a 2011 charger and there was a recall for the alternator. The reason I bring this up is because we would hear a whining noise when accelerating or in park and just pumping the gas a little. Turns out it was the start of the alternator going bad. Basically, the bushings inside the alternator were burning out due to over-current I guess. Might want to check the alt. just to make sure everything is cool. Just sayin.

Ya I'll try to spray the idler bearing, I checked the alt they said it was good but it's hard to pinpoint the noise. It's definitely a mechanical nosie, I just bought a stethoscope so I'm just gonna start poking around and see what I can find, I did have a battery go out from a dead cell so at first I thought it was the alt. I'll report my findings when I have time to do it. I was thinking what about the tranny pump?

Curious as to if you found out what the problem was. Mine just started doing this exact scenario... Its driving me crazy.

Ok that sounds good. Unfortunately I have a diablo tuner. If I remove everything and reset to factory do you think I'll be good?

yes just write the stock tune on the truck and the dealer wont know anything. Did you ever take it in?
